Our friends rise up to face another challenge.So I happened to make an OC out of thin air, gave him a eclipse cutie-mark and before I knew it I was making this picture.
This may not be my most popular artwork due to mr. OC up there (aka Infernal Darkness) but hey, atleast I'm getting better at drawing the poines
The background is traced and modified from a screen from S1Ep1. I think Canterlot appears on the shelf up on the mountain in the background in other episodes, but it didn't in this screen. I might add it if people start yelling about it.
All made in Illustrator.

All of a sudden... there shined a shiny demon... in the middle... of the road.
AND HE SAID!
"plaay the best sooong in the world, or I'll eat your souls."
Well the main six, they looked at each other, and they each said..."okay".
And they played the first thing that came to their heads, it just so happened to be, the best song in the world, it was the best song in the world!
Needless to say, the beast was STUNNED! A whip-crack went his whoopy tail, and the beast was done.
He asked them,"Be you angels?" And they said, "NEIGH, WE ARE BUT PONIES! ROCK!"

I just love how you can actually feel that the Big Bad Guy is big, heavy and most likely very tough, and his flames are absolutely amazing.
And of course, this background is beyond awesome. That concentrated amount of epicness in all this shading and details virtually pours from the monitor, and I simply cannot believe it does not have 1000+ favs already.

Sorry if I ruined it for you. I like to stay true to the shows original art and I'm just not skilled enough to make such awesome backgrounds on my own. Though your reply spurs me to try harder.

I'm getting better at drawing poines too! 
This enemy looks quite believable if you'd ask me! Although I'm not too sure if they would allow a character this evil-looking in the show, but who knows?!
