Prefix: Hey! Thanks for viewing my old pixel art.If you like this or think it shows potential, I'd really appreciate it if you checked out some of my newer digital artwork! I feel that my pixel art gets considerably more attention than it deserves in comparison to my more recent work.
A BIG PILE OF HOT TRASH.
I started this back around the 6th of Nov 06. It's taken me this long to finally 'finish' it (including large breaks of course, some lasting months and months). I do wish i could've spent longer on it, i think. But i'm gunna move on from it now.

Suited for darker backgrounds.. duh.

14 Unique colours used.
Programs Used: MSPaint [+ Animationshop3 & Micrografx for editing colours].
Note: Since it's a png, the colours are gunna most probs be out of whack (too dark, etc). You can check out the PJ link to see the original coloured version (gif) though. (Didn't use gif here cus you'd have to download it to see, and i know that sucks).

I have great appreciation for oldie-style pixel art, especially with very limited amount of colours. It's a media which requires great eye and patience.
This reminds me of some of the best C=64 or Amiga graphics. This could've been used in an end or starting scene of some fabulous post-apocalyptic RPG

GDs aren't allowed to feature a deviant any more often than three months. I had just featured a piece from Larw-ck's gallery a few days before this piece arrived. Talk about bang head on desk!

Mmmm...tasty tasty rust. I drive past a big metal scrapyard almost everyday into town...it fascinates me. Especially the machines with those big dangly claws digging through the mountains of metal

No references? Hah that's awesome. And I swear there's a creature in there!! Just a little to the left of the centre, and towards the bottom there's 6 light coloured pixels clustered like eyes and a mouth shape under them

Haha i was only joking. I think what you're seeing as a mouth is the edge of the crate that the 3 little creatures are inside. 3 pairs of eyes! It's good to hear someone else's perception of it though.

Yeah this is the same resolution that i worked on it with. Pixel by pixel! (well... i use the fill and line tool on MSPaint aswel but sshh).
