once you pull the apple, a trap door opens, and you drop into the ground, and the tree eats YOU slowly for dinner with its roots...

Good looking tree, very similar in style to the old school Sierra games such as Kings Quest. Brings back some fond memories. The wip is interesting as wel, very similar to how I work, cept i dont start with a base overlay for the entire image, i depevelop each area as I go...

Bringing back fond memories, i'm really glad.
It really depends what i'm doing with how i work, if i'm making small sprites i'll usually begin with lineart, but with something like this, which is very natural, i thought a silhouette would be the way to go.

I'm not a religeous person, but i like the idea of a tree tempting an animal into some kind of trap it has made, i guess it just goes along with the forbidden fruit story. Maybe even a man has placed the apple there for the non-fruitbearing tree, to help it in it's mission...
You could say i'm going far from the forbidden fruit story due to the fact the man who placed the apple there would be more of a sinner than those who took it out of hunger or simple curiosity...

Very nice movement created with the bark and leaves, and nice apple.

This is an amazing piece. I love the style of it with the movement/twists youβve created in the branches and leaves. Youβre defiantly very talented at pixelling
However, maybe Iβm not too keen on how the tree seems to look cut off at the bottom. Maybe thatβs just me, being retarded; as usual.
