You've got the perspective thing working well. It looks like a "real" architectural drawing.  Nice sense of scale and even the clouds look just right.

Beobachtet der Würfel wirklich? Unheimlich.

It looks wonderful. I think you know perspective better than you think.

I love the plane you've created on the bottom of the clouds.

So this is what a Brumian city looks like?

You're drawings are so inspiring to me, what size do you work in?

LaughtonMcCry In reply to ThePlanetRodinia [2013-10-09 16:03:11 +0000 UTC]

Your tips have been very helpful C:

a brumian city would be build with the structures much closer to each other. And with more of them and closer connected to each other.
this was drawn on A4 paper.

ThePlanetRodinia In reply to LaughtonMcCry [2013-10-10 01:01:56 +0000 UTC]

A4 is pretty small right?

Perhaps this is a Brumian city build on Rodinia?

Would the Brumians leave colonists on planets they visited?

LaughtonMcCry In reply to ThePlanetRodinia [2013-10-10 08:38:28 +0000 UTC]

A4 is 21x29,5 cm. i would say that is quite small.
I dont think that brume would build colonies except for one reason: to expand to there in the near future. They would always take their material with them, when they want to move away. Another reason that wont be very likely to happen, but possible, is that the pilot or the Wave want to connect physically to another place for a certain time.

Cool, I'm gonna try some smaller drawings,

Your stuff looks so refreshing and intuitive.

Yeah, Brume seems like a pretty self contained universe.

Did we ever say why it might have "crashed/landed" over Rodinia.

Did something break inside the system?

I have this vague idea that it was the Pilots fault, or at least the priests are blaming the Pilot..

The pilot is struggling to regain control over Brume right?

LaughtonMcCry In reply to ThePlanetRodinia [2013-10-12 09:32:19 +0000 UTC]

i dont know what actually happened with the continent. but the priests cant blame the pilot. they think that Brume has been there forever. actually its there a lot longer than human beings. humans have been integrated into the system after a while. It might have been a crash of a certain system, perhaps even a problem with the pilot. So the continent had to have a landing. now the pilot tries to recover the full functionality of the continental ship. he is under (nearly)full control though. only exceptions are the lands in the center and the underside of Brume. but these parts are not so important for the recovery.

ThePlanetRodinia In reply to LaughtonMcCry [2013-10-22 01:01:27 +0000 UTC]

Cool, it it may have landed on Rodinia thousands of years ago?

That would totally work too, the other side of the planet is all ocean,

and since the fall of the Rodinian state, there would be few expeditions there.

It could hide like a prehistoric beast.

It can make itself pretty undetectable, perhaps it just looks like and ancient weather system on radar?

Where the humans there introduced from another world?

What are the lands at the center? Is this where the cities are?

A system crash perhaps caused by the ancient Rodinian goddess?

In an attempt to use the continent to restore her to power.

LaughtonMcCry In reply to ThePlanetRodinia [2013-10-22 07:02:13 +0000 UTC]

thge first humans of Brume were introduced and integrated from Rodinia itself. The citys are on the outer side of the comtinent. the center is mostly desert. the not so much controlled humans live there.

What you said about the reasons for the crash could be quite true XD

ThePlanetRodinia In reply to LaughtonMcCry [2013-10-24 01:29:14 +0000 UTC]

So cool, So Brume arrived after the cataclysm on Rodinia but before human colonists arrived.

The goddess hailed the Brumian Continent Ship,

Like a shipwreck surviver might try to catch the attention of a passing oil tanker,

but the pilot probably would not respond.

Desperate, she sent an energy pulse to disable his ship and force it to land on her ruined planet.

But, Perhaps the pulse also attracted human navigators much later.
