Krath
Background: the vampire lord, arch nemesis of the demon king Grom; cursed with immortality for his refusal to be a puppet to his maker

Dulcea
Background: the golden dragons' rider and mistress, who started the liberation war

They defy one another, forever with a differing view on the war. They defy the norms of society and the opinion of others, becoming friends, allies and even lovers. He wants her for his vampire bride, she defies him until he, too, sees more worth in her life than her death. She defies six hundred years of tyranny, he once in time the demon king Grom that started it all. He defies his gods for what they have made him. Defiance is what they know, breathe and live.
