A random doodle about an original Argent Crusade paladin in Warcraft universe named Miria.

She was based on an actual human paladin player in WoW who saved a newbie blood elf hunter, that was me from Myzrael in Arathi Highlands. When my bear was about to get killed from tanking the giant bitch, she charged and tanked for me.

It was my first or second month on Azeroth, I was doing quests (aka leveling) near Tarren Mill in Hillsbrad Foothills. My Lv20-30 toon was murdered countless times by Lv80 Death Knights, which "defend myself from the Alliance!" became my muscle memory.

The incident of the paladin was so impressive to me as a noob. I thanked her with /emote and left, but I didn't memorize her name. After half a year I noticed she might need help to kill Myzrael too (a symptom of Huntard). As Myzrael was a group quest before Cataclysm.

Miria Swan was a low-rank paladin who came from Northshire Abbey of Stormwind, born in 10 years after the Opening of Dark Portal. She was the eldest daughter of a peasant family. She became a paladin of Stormwind and an Argent Crusader.

Miria mastered both the Light and martial arts, specialized against undead and demon. She wielded a 2-hand warhammer and shield issued from Stormwind (she shouldered her shield and wielded the 2-handed warhammer with 2 arms. Wait... this technique obviously borrowed from Havel the Rock, a fearsome enemy from Dark Souls lol).

Her armors were issued uniforms of low-rank knight, which were reliable, low cost and nothing special. Most of her pay was sent back to her family and she only relied on provision from Argent Crusade and Stormwind.

She was a complete idiot that she often unintentionally volunteered for suicide missions.

As a loyal follower of Tirion Fordring, Miria didn’t judge a person by his/her race. This made her saved a blood elf hunter, Irina from Myzrael in Arathi Highlands. Irina owed her life and befriended with her, which caused her some troubles.

P.S. Her first name "Miria" comes from Miria of Claymore. She has a nickname "Rice Grain" in Chinese/Taiwanese fan community because of pun, that pronunciation of Miria is similar to rice grain in both Mandarin or Cantonese.
