Description
The British SAS in my chibi style. The costume was based on photos of British special forces in Iraq and Libya, probably SAS, SBS or SFSG. They widely equipped with US gears like MICH 2000, RAV, ...(Some collectors dislike the tendency but it is for survival, friend...) and armed with L119A1 carbine in 10.5 inch barrel and P226 with Laser aiming grip.
The text under my signature was the direct Chinese translation of "Special Air Service", which make some of my non-military hobbyist friends grinning viciously. The teddy bear was inspired by a bear carried by a Ghurka troop on his back.
There is also an Easter egg that on the map on his left arm.

What does it say on his wrist? Something about someone's wife?

It's from a removed quest in World of Warcraft. An orc called Mankrik asked player to find his wife but he gave no any direction at all (and she was very far from him). It was nearly impossible to finish the quest without google or other sources. It had been pain in my ass for a long time.
It is now a term used by WoW players to describe something remotely impossible to find, much like the quest objective who is Mankrik's wife.

Dude, I love your work even though I don't care for chibi stuff. Please tell me what the name of those NVGs is. I've been looking everywhere and they are non existant on the internet. I want decent reference photos from multiple angles. Again, great stuff!

Thanks, that helps me so much.Β
I'm not usually one for pointless praise, but i gotta say I like how you actually do the research to find the proper equipment etc. That's it. thanks again.

Is that bear (or dog) also a trained operator???
And i can see where a certain FPS draw inspiration for its uniform.

no, the bear doll is inspired from an actual patrolling Ghurka soldier in Afghanistan, that he had a bear doll seen on his backpack, perhaps a gift for local kid.
I took reference directly from a photo of UKSF(SAS, SBS, SFSG) soldier. The green coat is a TAD jacket or something like that.
It is preferable to take reference directly from the source itself not from games, movies, etc. It is because these media have to twist the source to suit them own need. For example, if you do something in Roman era, don't take Gladiator as reference(even the movie is my favorite), go search history books.

... i mean that FPS dev. got inspired, not other way around.
But you got point there. But actually, i am more interested in SF tactics, especially SAS long-range recon. I often see they (or their SASR brethren) with Land Rover on recon. What actually their routine on that? Any source to offer?

It is some kind of special reconnaissance, like Long Range Reconnaissance Patrols(LRRP). Some of the main propose are gather information for direct action of main forces(that's one of the ways what the intel come from), guiding or evaluation bombardment operation(USSOF still need these), pursuit someone(like hunting SCUDs in Gulf War 1 in 1991)...
