Godzilla - King of the monstersZBrush 4, Photoshp CS4, Vue 8 and photography.
the concept of Godzilla here is to create a fat, massive, chunky clumsy, nuclear monster (heisei inspired). I sticked to Godzilla being a dinosaur. If there ever is a species of a marine theropod, that would be his kind. I gave him a massive tail, just for him to swim better and faster and also to balance the heavy body.
The texture is inspired from the millennium G-Suit. I think that is the best skin texture for G. I like the millenium G suit, especially the texture and armor, but the heisei g-suits remain my fave. i really dont know why its my fave, maybe because, of his size and power and for having a very exprssive face, he can actually grin and you will think that he is really angry...
It took me more than 2 weeks to complete this piece, but it took me 1 year to conceptualize and sketch and decide on how he'd look like.

I am literally at a loss for words... I've always been attracted to the idea of a saurian Godzilla, but never have I seen it executed even half as well as this. And I'm not afraid to admit that, after seeing the rest of the work you've done on him, I needed a change of underpants upon enlarging them to full size - it was really THAT awesome!
Let's hope the crew at Legendary Pictures might be able to do the same with their interpretation of the big guy two years from now!

Ah, still to this day I haven't seen a Godzilla design stir the fandom up as much as this. Still amazing work and what is best is that it looks like the Legendary Godzilla test footage is remarkably similar to this. Maybe they were spying on you.

He looks alot more Tyrannosaurus-like than his 2000 variant and kinda looks like Space Godzilla, except without the giant shoulder crystals. Looks like he could be a Tank character in a Godzilla due to all his muscley weight gain. What'cha been eating, G-Man?

It is a very different look to Godzilla, but when you take in account the Delgado and Stan Winston redesigns of the creature for Debont's Tristar Godzilla film , prior to Emmerich's remake of the 20,000 Fathoms, this is spectacular.
I guess I am not the only one who love the Heisei Godzilla, but I prefer the 1984 Godzilla because I never liked the smaller head the 89-95 Goji had as it felt awkward. It did fit the fit the films though and Biollante is one of my most favorite films of the series especially since they mastered the animatronic head and made it smaller instead of being on a separate unit ,by 2000 it was on the suit I think?
The mechanical head was freaky and probably better than the suit's head in the 1984 sequel of Gojira and should've been used alot more as intended because with only three-four scenes with it, the suit head's unexpressive face jarred with it considerably. I'm glad they corrected the problems in later films where they were identical and later the actual heads.
The body proportions do look kind of awkward especially with the tail , but given that Godzilla IS a mutation , a deformation caused by the atomic bomb, this is perfect. IT shows why Godzilla is pissed at mankind and why he wants to take revenge on us. In a huge way, this design makes me feel more for the creature than the 1954 original and most certainly the 1998 iguana due to how it shows the pain it went through.

Keep on doing this, and most certainly , look into applying for a job at Legendary Pictures, who are doing Godzilla.

Sorry i just read this comment. Thanks and appreciate it. Actually the size of the head of this verison of mine made me struggle finalizing the design, to go with a bigger head or smaller head, i will probably adjust or maybe just tweal the size later, but for now, i am quite satisfied, also It does justify mutation.
G 84 was the 2nd G movie i saw and is what made me like the franchise deeper, although i really prefer the latter heisei, and now i just bouhgt the SHMonster Arts figure of GvMG2 suit, i liek it more.

I first seen the entire film series on Youtube. First ones I saw were Vs Mothra ,Monster Zero , Revenge of Godzilla and Megalon.
I loved when I seen 1984. It shown a Godzilla that wasn't some Ultraman ripoff that wanted to waste humanity for what it does to him. I can't wait to buy the BluRay set for 1954 at all either. I hated the suit's head with a passion as it completely jarred with the other one ,which scared me more.
The original one was not that impressive ,but I love it because it was the first one and not over-the-top like its successors.My only gripe is it looks like a Stegosaurus mated with a T-Rex crossbred with an Ignuanadon and not a mutation, then again they had their technology... it was good for the time.

It's a awesome looking picture no doubt but everytime I see this pic I can't help but think *Man... Gojira ate a few cake factories didn't he?* XD I understand though that this was the point of the picture to give him a large amount of massive bulk to go in play with his size.
