Description
Godzilla - King of the monstersZBrush 4, Photoshp CS4, Vue 8 and photography.
the concept of Godzilla here is to create a fat, massive, chunky clumsy, nuclear monster (heisei inspired). I sticked to Godzilla being a dinosaur. If there ever is a species of a marine theropod, that would be his kind. I gave him a massive tail, just for him to swim better and faster and also to balance the heavy body.
The texture is inspired from the millennium G-Suit. I think that is the best skin texture for G. I like the millenium G suit, especially the texture and armor, but the heisei g-suits remain my fave. i really dont know why its my fave, maybe because, of his size and power and for having a very exprssive face, he can actually grin and you will think that he is really angry...
It took me more than 2 weeks to complete this piece, but it took me 1 year to conceptualize and sketch and decide on how he'd look like.

he should have a bit more larger arms since he can grab things and fights with both hands an tail

this version will use a lot of biting to grab hold enemies to throw em or a bite and slam combo. although i did adjust slightly the leg and arm length in the 'G-day mate version' [link]

oool but still i hope he does throw a claw slap or heaven help a punch you know classic i am glad more monsters will be in as well but i also hope the monsters in some way have a personality because i hope godzilla is a bad guy first then all around hero who is killed because he knows hes a threat signifying the character knows he could hurt the world and the villian i hope to have a superiority thing or be like the xenomorphs in aliens

I really like it but a tad to fat for my tatse but i understand the reasoning behind your design over all an 8 out of ten

Yeah i dunno if i have comment before but this is one of the most incredible awesome pictures ever! When i look at this i swear something in my soul stirs. The design of the beast is so brilliant that i want to see this in a movie so much that it actually hurts me!

Well, that's what went through my head when I tried to find the proper words to describe why I like your Gojira. We could combine the two into Realgia and Nostalism, but that would be a bit far-fetched...
