Description
The living Marka Ragnos, based on his appearance from "Star Wars: Tales of the Jedi: Dark Lords of the Sith". Living at around 5000 BBY, he was the total paragon of what it meant to be a Sith. Feared, obeyed, and admired among the Sith, he was considered to have been one of the greatest Dark Lords of the Sith in all history, possessing immense power both in combat and through the Force. His scepter, which he crafted through Sith Alchemy, had the power to drain residual Force energy and use it to empower his followers. It was also used as a sheath to house his Sith sword, powered by his immense powers of the Dark Side. When he died--of old age--, his spirit would continue to haunt the galaxy, with the Sith Dynasty requiring his guidance and council, time and time again. This was pretty fun considering how very vaguely detailed he was in his single appearance in the comics, at least with this appearance, and having to be responsible to fill in those details. Again, this is meant to be his appearance when he was still alive, before he apparently grew whiskers, and had his nose shrunk. Rest assured, I will still be doing his more popular, rotting shade appearance, but much much later.

"before he apparently grew whiskers, and had his nose shrunk."
are you sure he didnt look that way because hes not human, but of the sith species? or a hybrid? im pretty sure it says somewhere in that comic that most ancient sith lords were hybrid of the two species.

He is a Sith Hybrid, but my artwork of him is based on his original "human" appearance from the Exar Kun arc, which is also considered canon along with his blue, more sithly appearance.

This is amazing work, but I would recommend putting your scans through a curve (a special color filter) on a photomanipulation program such as Photoshop or GIMP (it's free, just Google it). It's really easy, just open the scan in GIMP, choose color tools, and look for the "curves" function. What it will do is remove the smeary gray areas while leaving your pencil shading intact--it's really nice for pencil work. You'll have to mess around with it a little before you get it perfect, but it's worth it. It just makes your work look neater and more professional. If you were actually trying to go for a "foggy" or mysterious feel, I would suggest making the smears heavier. Aside from that, your lineart and shading are absolutely fabulous. The cosmetics of the staff, the aesthetic flow from one piece of fabric to the next...woooow. I love the flow of the fabric, and I am jealous enough to hate you to death, because I have never and probably never will be able to do that. Astounding work.

"You have done well..."
Ok. This is awesome. The pose really captures the Sith in all his fearsome might.
His hand--man. This just looks evil. His facial expression, awesome robes, and great detail give him life.
What can I say? This is flawless. There isn't anything that I can see wrong with it, and that is why this comment is so hard...because I don't know what to say.

This is absolutely stunning! His robes are fantastic, his pose is fantastic, and the look he's giving you-- *shudder*. Death is near. And his hand is great as hands are super hard to do. WOW!
