Description
HELLO WORLD!These two are my first successful drawing pair of centaur boys, no they don't have faces or hair or anything special other than their necklaces at this point. I'm going to go through it again with a digital creation and hopefully share that with you soon.
Onto some fun stuff. My current obsession is centaurs. I don't know why exactly but it is and they are fun to draw and create. If you're on Instagram and would like to see my wip centaur resculpt, my account is leaf _studio
Thanks! Hope you like my doodle!

Hahahaha yeah these are just building practice since I'm sculpting/rescuplting a centaur model. Gotta know how they fit together. Practice makes perfect but I feel like these guys are rather close to an accurate display of my style and how I put them together. (getting there slowly but surely~~)
Glad to meet another centaur enthusiast!!

Dude, same here!
Are you actually sculpting your own brand of resin models or your into customizing premade model ones?
*.* That and I want to soon add horse sculpture to the rest of my art repertoire. I've been putting sculpting off for a while, the same with my art because of work and such XD So I'm pretty slow from here on X\
I enjoy making my own centaur aremture but I sometimes like to go ahead and buy armature from stores.
And yeah I enjoy centaurs and drawing them XD I'm still a slug in working on my story composition on them but I'll try to fit it in-too many characters to develop and that's not the pro its always their BG bios so I take my time in character building

I'm using a Breyer model horse and Breyer doll for my first one, I'm going to be looking into how to create moveable doll bodies and then just make my own dolls to be proportionate to the horse. I'm not a skilled enough sculptor to be able to successfully create a completely origional piece.
When writing a story sometimes its easier to just create a few origional characters and as the story develops add characters in during the parts you find you need something extra.
How many centaurs have you attempted so far?

Moveable dolls eh?
I'm not sure if your familiar with Japan and Korea art but they have BJDS and those whom have them or actually making them. I certainly think they are the most beautiful dolls and I've NEVER liked or loved dolls-I love the shounen BJDs then anything but otherwise I've never been a doll fan :\
But yeah I'm sure you'll have no trouble in finding the BJDS you want
LOL yeah it helps a lot fo rme to make characters before wanting to outline their bio and I have a better time in waiting to come up with ideas or just finding them. Certainly anime has helped me for they are VERY detailed in character persona, the best example is an anime called "Bakuman" a friend at my tech school, introduced me to it through manga and its more about the manga industry and character and story development and I didn't realize how much manga is so damn complex. But it makes me more of a fan of prose comics then comics.
The centaurs I have currently are the only I'm worked up too and the rest I have yet to make some of their bios, persoanlities or I'm just going to wait to add more, so I have more layers to them in persona. So I have a handful now but have yet to get their bio done and or coloring them.
Its taking so long too because of my job and others things I'm worrying about XD LOL!

I love looking at the BJD dolls but even the blank ones are close to 200$ for the torso up. Its almost painful to think of for my wallet.
I wish I had that kinda money to do really nice expensive ones but man... my wallet barely has 20$ in it right now let alone a couple hundred. ^_^''''
i've heard of that anime, never seen it but heard it was pretty good.
Everything is so complex in character making, especially when you're trying to explain all the little quirks that make the fictionals more human in the way they act and react to things. I confuse the people I tell so much when trying to explain my characters.
Starting simple is sometimes easier. Like just taking the chance to let them develop as events occur in your story.
Jobs are hard. I have to apply to a few now. Not sure where yet but that'll be...... fun
