The tail arch reminds me of an Arabian in which I like to incorporate sometimes in my characters, though I don't want a specific breed to mold my favorites into one to create the equine anatomy while some artist go on breeds which I still think is a great idea (I was only thinking the down side is that you have to contour the horse body to the human body in order to make it work in balance)

Yeah this was a bit awkward with balance and anatomy but it was a five minute sketch so I'm not going to bother changing it for practice points and developmental view. Thanks for the input! I'll definetly be sure to keep it in mind when I go through my next sketches!!
Breeds are hard to match exactly, I've always found I lean towards the warmbloods/medium weight anatomical references because they are so nicely defigned and you can easily swing breeds around them if necessary but for quick and easy sketches to warm up I find that arab builds are my favorite to doodle.
