I've redone this story so many times and never been satisfied with it... I hope this... fifth? sixth? time is a charm?Mongeese Taurs and Serpent Taurs have been at war for a while, (not like full on country war, but more like a family fued) but the Priesthood is a relatively neutral sect, only wishing to worship in peace... sort of like how the church is a sanctuary and sacred ground, this keeps them safe due to superstitions as well as rage from nagas if it were attacked, so the Mongoose lot leave it alone.
Lear in this story leaves her family for many personal reasons and takes refuge in the temple, under High priest Asher's care. the other Naga in the temple aren't too happy with this arrangement, but can't go against the high priest so they set Lear to a lot of work within the temple.
Asher of course takes a liking to Lear, and they have a friendship, but Lear starts to feel more... only the high priests are celibate so she leaves him alone (regular priests may have wives and such, but a high priest must be completely devoted)... but Asher isn't really the type to play by all of the rules, especially if he's so inclined... though he doesn't pursue Lear. yet.
these pictures say otherwise of course, but i haven't got that far into the idea, so how they get together isn't planned yet.
I imagine Lear practically lives in a broom closet... though i see the temple as greek or roman style.
I missed drawing nagas and taurs *breathy sigh* its so much fun.
I don't think it needs a mature filter... I mean, Asher isn't wearing a shirt but thats all there is to it....

Nah I don't think it needs the filter. Last I checked, topless men were not required to have mature content filters on! I actually really like that swirling coiling pose, there's a lot of motion, it would be really great to see it coloured (but we all know how irritating colouring can be!)
Well at least her broom closet is cosey I guess! And at least they gave her a pillow! What made her choose to go to the temple and not elsewhere?

oh, i've been looking at some gravity falls fanart, and some homestuck wriggler comics, and I'm so tempted to think up ideas for the HoH cast as kids 
I actually think Lear would have sort of met Yianis when she was younger, but it made little to know impact on either of them really, as they were kids. what did we say the ages were? I think that Zantair and Toinette are maybe one year older than Lear and you said Yianis was two years older than Zantair... sooo.

to be honest, I think I kind of like the other story better. (sorry!)

i'm not exactly sure 'cause there are so many, but most of them seem to have some things in common.
I like the stories where Asher has a kind of troubled background, but the two of them meet up because of coincidence and they get close as friends, and kind of fall for each other. and of course Lear thinks she's not good enough for Asher, but she has this spirit that Asher finds attractive, and he thinks she's cute. and of course Asher thinks he is undeserving, but Lear thinks he's really sweet and smart and talented and has a really great personality. and they eventually get over themselves and support eachother with love and validation when times get though.
and they kick but together
i'm sorry, i'm so bad at writing out stories. I made your story sound really cheesy without any substance, but i'm just letting you know the parts that I remembered and liked, you can fill in the rest.
