Description
Description:
After doing up this image as a collaboration effort with *BonitaOnePrime , I decided to post something with some probable Cyberglyph definitions beyond the in canon A to Z translation so people could actually see at least my view on their definitions. I originally wrote these up on June 21, 2010. The only one I know has a canon definition is Q - Prime, the rest are extrapolated from various images of the bots and who has what glyph on them. As I get more researched, this list may shift slightly depending on what I find. In addition to the letters, I've included the numbers 0-9 from glyphs that were originally made as badges for a Transformers Movie Verse Console Game, which also included all but two of the letters as well. I also posted the in canon A to Z and 0-9 translations for the Autobot and Decepticon Cyberglyphs as well. If you use any of what I have made here, give credit where credit is due.

It should be noted that, at least from what I can figure out from canon evidence, Transformers are born with the Cyberglyphs they bear, these are not chosen and added later, but inherited and "branded" in place when their chassis forms, not unlike with human birthmarks. What glyphs are there is dictated by the lineage and personality inherent in that particular bot's Spark. Additional Cyberglyphs can be etched or painted on later like tattoos, but the bot is very unlikely to know what they mean in the case of the ones from the "Language of the Primes", while the Autobot and Decepticon Cyberglyphs will be well known to them.

Exactly. You and I know what they are, but the average watcher has no idea. But that's okay, suspension of disbelief is not a bad thing in such cases, particularly with shows like this, nor is it all that hard to do.

True. Besides, having a Geiger counter in a place like that is just as believable as having an ion field detector, hell they probably HAVE a Geiger counter somewhere! I think that vehicle they have in the first episode that is powered by the energy given off by people riding in it was pretty cool, though it supposedly being built by Edison and offered to Ford, who didn't like it because he couldn't make a profit from it, that isn't very accurate. Henry Ford was actually Edison's chief engineer for a long time - another inventor that Edison hired to come up with ideas from him, and actually, Edison hired Ford from Westinghouse, which is where Tesla went to work after leaving Edison... anyway Edison funded Ford to do experiments with automobiles, and Ford eventually left Edison because he thought Edison was ripping people off. So yeah, I don't think that Ford would have turned down Edison's design because he can't make enough money from it. Still though, it was an awesome concept!

And a viable one too actually, since the human body actually gives off quite a bit of energy. Just takes capaciters sensitive enough to pick up and use that energy. Among other things.

Yes it does. Most of the energy given off by the human body is thermal though, you would need to convert it into electrical energy before you can do anything with it...

Well, there is a bio-electro-magnetic current we give off. That's what touch lamps react to.

Yeah, I've seen that... Well I bet superconducting capacitors would pick it up, they pick up anything. Hell I had one pick up a residual ground current from a lightning strike once. I wasn't ready for that, so it didn't do anything useful - just caused a power surge and set me back a week - but it was interesting.

Nice! You should see about poking at that and see what you come up with if the opportunity presents itself again.

I have thought of that, just because of the number of people who say it's impossible to harness the power of lightning and put it to practical use. Of course somebody says something's impossible and I feel compelled to prove them wrong... it's sort of an inventor thing XD But it presents a major safety issue, because I'd have to go out in the middle of an electrical storm and set up the capacitors, and if I'm occupied setting up capacitors that means I'm not following my safety protocol. Guess I'll have to tag along a temporary assistant who's trained in CPR.

XD Yeah, there is that. And I do actually know CPR. **chuckles** If only you lived closer. **smirks** Though I think if that happened the world would be in peril. XD

Good for you, I know it also. I worked for a superconductor research place for a couple months and they had CPR and recognizing and diagnosing cardiac arrhythmias in the employee handbook. For once, something actually USEFUL in an employee handbook XD!

Well actually I might be out there in Washington next year, since you suggested I come visit and next year I will no longer be constrained by patent correspondance. So, I guess the world will be in peril in time for 2012 after all!
