Description
I have done a version of Pikachu before, but I did not like it. So here is a secondPikachu is clearly the most well-known and famous pokemon of all. For those of you living near a family you would have certainly heard them calling during a thunderstorm, in fact 90% of the lightning you would have seen would have been caused by them proclaiming their territory and strengthening bonds between them.
Family groups are only really made when the young are defenceless. Pichu went unknown as the immature state of Pikachu because of their parents secrecy of digging tunnels to hide them in. Dark forests are their preferred habitats when they have young as they can be hidden well. The young begin to venture our when their tails are stronger and their bodies more agile, at which point they are referred to as Pikachu.
They retain the patterns on their back as a form of camouflage when moving through tall grass.
If you have been wondering through any forest recently you have no doubt caught a gimpse of a young Pikachu as they venture into the big world. They are naturally timid creatures but if they find a kind trainer they will make them a member of the family and travel with them until the end.
As male Pikachu grow there is increasing pressure for them to win mates, many battles between males involve both physical and electrical attacks. Here many males begin searching for the correct mineral for their growth. Just as Axolotls will not grow into Salamanders without the right water conditions, so Pikachu will not begin their last stage of growth without a very important mineral. This mineral is rare and has a bright golden shine to it, referred to as most as Thunderstone.
In areas where this mineral is high you will see a high number of Riachu gathering to fight and breed. They travel in groups and use their powerful hind legs to make speedy getaways from predators. Pikachu do not have the speed on four legs to outmatch many predators so they tend to stay in forests. However those brave few who go searching for
Thunderstone may find it and return to the forests to have their babies. More often it is the females who remain in the forests as Pikachu, their small size means they can dig small enough holes while the males are more likely to leave. While male Pikachu can father young they are more likely to be outmatched by Riachu once the females come into heat.
The family stays together until the Pichu are old enough to leave, but more often than not Riachu leave the forest as they are more suited to open areas . This is why Riachu are very rarely seen in the wild, they very rarely visit areas that mine Thunderstone as they are wary of humans.
But with the rising demand by trainers for stones the few places to find Thunderstones are being bought by mining companies and pushing out the Pokemon that rely on them. It is predicted that in the next 50 years the wild Riachu will become extinct along with many other wild pokemon who rely on the stones for their natural behaviour.
****
I decided to give my Pokemon bios a little twist, for surely Humans effect the way pokemon live their lives. Pokemon were not always servants of humans; made to battle each other in arenas for the thrill of the crowd.

Heh, I do have a Pikachu in Soul Silver that I'm training to evolve. Just not sure when it'll be the right time.

Check bulbapedia for their moves, once they evolve by stone they do not learn any new moves. Make sure he has learned all the desired moves as a Pikachu before evolving him

I know. personally, I prefer Serebii.net. I've tried Bulbapedia and I can't figure out how to navigate it. What I meant was trying to decide which move I want to stop at. ^^ *Poke`Veteran*

Brillient! I love your 'real life pokemon' sketches. They are always fantastic, the way you think up ways to cater for the different behaviours and traits of different pokemon! And Pikachu's line is no exception (goes off to play haha)
