Description
Bracken sacrifices herself to save Rannoch, a mother’s ultimate gift. This scene always makes me think of the line “Sacrifice shall be his meaning”, which was going to be the original title, I had forgotten about the final chapter where this line is explained further. However I think that this could be relevant, after all it doesn’t have to mean that Rannoch is the sacrifice…Anyway, this is my first photolmpression (a simple version of photoshop) picture, I am very proud of it. There is no shading from a light source, its simple… Please admire the antlers; I try show the power and nobility of these features…
Bracken’s colour is very light, I’m not sure if it suits but I can’t be stuffed changing it now. The Sgorrla assassin is dark, perhaps too dark, but that suits his nature. It’s not perfect but I am happy with the way it turned out. I am working on another picture with the same method. Enjoy!

I forgot to add I think that there were two sacrifices made. The first was by Eloin, she gave up Rannoch in order to save his life and let them take her so he would be safe. Then Bracken gave up her life for him...yes I think what you said is right.

I'm sure it will be, she will be remembered forever and those that did not know her would know Rannoch so she would never be forgotten

I remember this part... Bracken gets her heart pierced by an antler and then speaks... for five pages. >.<
I think the book could have been great, but the characters were all very plain.
Anyways, great pic! -favs-

Never look at fan art before finishing the book, I had another friend who did just that and I think on of my pictures ruined the surprise for her.
I hope this picture did not spoil anything for you...

That's really good! I love how you draw deer! Oh, and by the way, I am going to send in pictures of deer too! Rannoch, Thistle, Tain, Willow, Peppa and Bracken are the ones I've done.

I like the book but I don't understand why its called "Fire Bringer" the original title is much better. Good job!

Thanks!
I guess it depicts fire as a fighter, saviour, a defender of the light? Perhaps that is why? But what original title? Wasn't that always the title?
