Finally decided to submit this. It's a stamp I've really been really holding back on the submission though I've made it about a month ago. This was first inspired with a small chat with another deviant I'm keeping anonymous.

But the reason I didn't submit it though is that I knew the message I wanted to get out, I just didn't know what to put here to fully describe it. But then I read a blog that allowed me to think what I truly wanted to say.

So I do find this to be an incredibly touchy subject and I know not EVERYONE is going to agree, in fact, I'd be surprised if 10% of deviants actually do. But this is a disclaimer, if you are sensitive about the subject, leave now. If you are too young to read about this, then leave now.

Also note that this is a stamp that is kind of on the middle ground of this subject, it's not an attempt to hate on fetishes nor try to hate on those who dislike fetishes, so keep that in mind while I try to explain. So with that, let's discuss this topic.

First, let's define what a fetish actually is (because I feel so many people get that incorrectly) A fetish is an object, a practice and/or a situation one desires to be in. These in a term can trigger what is known as a sexual fantasy which is something unrealistic thought up in one mind, much like a daydream, that causes sexual arousal. This is not to be confused with the term, sexual attraction which is when one finds certain parts of another living being and triggers desire for sexual activity.

This is something you NEED to understand. All fetishes become interests before they become an actual fetish. It's just like how somebody can like a TV show, or how somebody can like a video game. It just kind of grows on them as a human being. What turns them on is not something one can control.

That being said, take this that get's tossed around a lot. "They should keep it to themselves, they're sooooooo sick!!!!!!" Here's something I notice, most of the people (not saying ALL of them) who like to "share" it are people who do not come out and say they masturbate to the material or look at matured artwork and I don't like to approach it that way either. In fact, I find most people get scared about sharing their interest like that. But in reality it's like sharing one's love for a particular franchise. It's something they enjoy that they want more people to know about what they like and who they are as a person.

I love to share my interest in Pokemon, I love to share why I like it so much. And I also like hearing about what they love in pop-culture. Why? Because I'm interested to hear what other people like and why they do.

And the same goes with my interest in TFs (transformation) Yes, I do get turned on by particular work in this category which is something I do on my "me" time and it's not something I'm afraid to admit, but that's not the part that I enjoy to share to others. I like to see it as something that's not a fetish, but something I just like to share through both artwork and conversation. I also love expressing it through roleplaying (I love it as a pass-time) And that's really how it should be expressed or else conversations just get awkward.

And yes, I do find it rather annoying when people just look at something, whether it be a vore comic, a story of inflation, or whatever and automatically start thinking about people who are masturbating to it. ... just... really? You're calling others sick and yet you're on the internet worrying about what others do in their bedroom? Look, there are fetishes I don't quite understand, but there is something I will recognize when I see things like this. It is indeed artwork whether I like it or not and I view it as such. Sure, I may criticize it for having improper anatomy, poor use of color, nothing to the imagination, minimal effort, trying to convince the artist to do other things in order to expand his/her comfort zone, but then again, I would criticize ANY artwork for those. But I do NOT go out and say, THIS IS SOOOOO GROOSSSSS, EWWWWW!!!! Why? Because it makes them feel bad for what they like and loses my chances of knowing someone else as a person.

BUT THEY LIKE SHOVE IT DOWN MAI THROAT AND ITS GROOOOSSSS!!!! I've seen very few cases where someone was forcing another to like what they like. If they are bothering you about it, just kindly tell them to back off and I find most people leave you alone. Yes, it's true, there is always that insane loony (or vocal minority) that will ruin it for everyone else and will act very immature, but it's best just to ignore such people and I also find it to be so few being part of one of these groups. Yes, I have seen drama and immature behavior within a chat before, but it feels so occasional that I don't even think much of it.

Yes, you are allowed to express your opinion, yes you are allowed to find an image or work of art to leave a bad taste in your mouth and that's actually true for a lot of artwork (not just fetish work.) But instead of throwing the term "FETISH, GROSS" everywhere you go, it's better to get along with others and try to understand why someone likes what they like. And this goes to the people who bare these fetishes as well, instead of attacking others which makes you as bad as the haters, tell them what you like about what you like.

The bottom line, talking about an interest as a fetish just makes everything look awkward, no matter what side does it. Remember that it's just simply an interest that gets physical enjoyment out of some people and it should be something that is taken by a grain of salt. (I'm sooooo going to get flamed for this)
