Inpired by a conversation I had the other day. We were discussing how the Kalos starters were being unfairly criticized so I decided to make a stamp about it. Little Quiladen drawn inside for eating

Mini-rant incoming.

Alright, I've been all over the internet and all over the Pokemon fandom as well. Out of all the things that annoy me, this has to be one of the most trivial things to ever moan about. From all the comments relating to this and in terms of internet fanbases, this tells me that the Pokemon fanbase is made of some of the most insensitive, self-centered, and whiny individuals I've ever seen.

Now for those people who do try to make a respectable viewpoint and try to keep logical about it, I do deeply apologize that you have to be grouped with others like this and receive backlash from others only from making a legit complaint. For that, I provide a small blanket to tuck you in and my sincerest apologies for all of this and having to be grouped with the same people.

But everyone else. Alright, it's one thing to have an opinion. But insulting the Pokemon and it's creators, throwing a fit, and insulting any individual who happens to like it. Just, what is your problem!? You seriously need help!

"Quiladin sucks cuz it didn't turn into a hedgehog! What was GameFreak thinking!? It was meant to look cool but it's fat so all is ruined, terrible design!" ehhh, guys, GameFreak said from day one that Chespin was based off a chestnut..... chestnuts are spiky, and round, what did you expect it to look like? And there are many Pokemon that I can argue about how creative they actually are, but of course I don't want to do that since I'll probably have multiple pages analyzing, arguing, and listing which Pokemon I felt were clever.

Then I've been hearing arguments of how Delphox was the worst Fire starter, what are most of the arguments against that claim? It's design?! Really? Because it's too 'girly' or something? That's why it's now the 'worst?'

Here's something else you don't take into consideration. I, along with a nice amount of Pokemon fans, like my Pokemon a little chubby. I think it makes then look cute. People like you who moan about it just because it's not what you want make me cringe. Yeah, you could argue of how it's 'just an opinion' but here's something you don't understand, saying things like "it sucks" or "Worst Pokemon ever" are objective statements since it's an argument of quality. If you make such claims, people will try to call out on your bull!

I especially hate it when people try to make things up of how a Pokemon performs in battle only because they don't like it, Emboar probably being the best example of this. I show them visual evidence, I use logic to tell them why they might be being too harsh, I tell them why on an objective viewpoint, the Pokemon is actually clever. They just distort my words and try to make something look bad when it really isn't.

OK, I, GET, IT! Not everyone is going to like every single Pokemon in the roster! I, CAN, DEAL, WITH, THAT! Some people are going to like bushy tails, some people are going to like long tails. In fact, that's all a REALLY GOOD THING! Why? Because if we all thought exactly the same, our fandom would indeed be very boring. You have every right to dislike a Pokemon. I'm just saying don't be a complete ass while you're doing it. Also, try to focus more about what you love about Pokemon, that's how others learn from your favorites.
