Oh boy, it's that wonderful time again where old skool Pokemon fans are nagging, bitching, moaning and being absolute fucking retarded Dragonite splooches about the new changes made to the old Pokemon formula. And what is it this time you might ask? Well we've gotten a new Pokemon type! Yeah, haven't seen a new one since Gen 2 when they introduced Dark and Steel. But of course, that upsets old Pokemon fans because they don't like change. Especially when the new one is called Fairy. Personally while not the most badass type what I care most about is what effects it will have.Ah but then we come to the second problem they have. You see, Fairy types are very strong against Dragon Types. This of course made a lot of Dragon Type fans all saddy waddy because their favorites now have a new weakness. The fact that the game has been rebalanced to benefit most players is of no concern to them. No, Pokemon and therefore their childhood is now dead. What a load of shite.
I don't care if GameFreak had fucked up Pokemon so bad, my childhood would still be the same. I still have the old Pokemon games and the old episodes to enjoy. If you want to live in the past then by all means go ahead but personally I grew over being nostalgic and embraced the new Pokemon from Gen 3 and onward. If I hadn't I would not enjoy Pokemon like Absol, Gardevoir and Wailord amongst other ones and believe me that the new Gens have some cool Pokemon.
And I will end this by saying that no, some Pokemon's type have not been completely changed. They are now their original type plus Fairy. So Maril is still Water and Gardevoir is still Psycho except not I can use her to whoop Dragons even harder. It's the little things in life sometimes that makes it all worthwhile.

Now a days in the anime prospective, it's G6 fans complaining about G7 (because no Serena), and G1/2 fans getting angry because Sorrel and Verity were characters (and Misty and Brock weren't in M20)-
Back then, G1/2 fans hated Tracey for replacing Brock in OL, May and Max for replacing Misty in AG, but go back and WORSHIP Dawn in G4, then go to hate Cilan and Iris in BW and then they WORSHIP Serena, Bonnie and Clemont in XY.
So yeah. Tracey, May, Max, Cilan and Iris get unfair hate... and I am sick and tired of it.
Gen 3, 5 and 7 were the golden generations, and Gens 2, 4 and 6 in the games were very upsetting. Gen 1 was okay, but not my personal favorite.

I like every generation. The problem with fans who cry "ruined FOREVER" at every little change or Pokémon design they don't like is that most of the changes they complain about also happened in gens 1 and 2. Like adding a new type to nerf the overpowered Dragon in gen 6 is somehow so much worse than adding two new types to nerf the overpowered Psychic in gen 2 (and reworking the type chart so Ghost is super effective against it).

why not make game sandbox and something that's actually not the same grinding for a pokemon to level up for the nonsense.

I understand that some people want games to change drastically, and some series do that, but some don't - Pokemon changes only within certain limits. And that actually makes me very happy - I play Pokemon because I like Pokemon. That it still reminds me in feel of Gen 1 makes it still special to me, and clearly, MILLIONS of other players.
It's fine if you don't like it, there are series I stopped liking too, over the years. But you don't need to act like the people who still enjoy it are below you, or need to "get out". xD
If you enjoyed Gen 1 so much, you should appreciate that no matter how many new Pokemon, new worlds, new additions we get, the feeling of the original Pokemon is still there. I'm confused why you would like the original so much, then be upset because the rest are "exactly like it". xD That...makes no sense.
Some series will change drastically, some won't. And if you don't like how Pokemon is going, that's fine - but find another series to get into, then, and don't berate fans who stayed with it.
(And I also thought Pokemon started to suck at one point, myself, so I understand your frustration, but it turned out it was just THAT gen which I wasn't feeling (Ruby/Sapphire), and I got back into it. I understand the feeling of frustration, but don't take it out on other fans!)

THANK YOU FOR MAKING THIS STAMP. seriously, I love dragon type pokemon, and I happen to accept fairy types balancing things out in terms of dragon types. seriously... these people are complaining every new generation! granted there's one thing I dislike about gen 6(how come you can't ride bikes in kalos???) and I'm still sort of getting used to the new mewtwo form but seriously, some things in life change, change is all around us and changes have been happening since the dawn of time, for the better or for the worse, its all a matter of adapting to it in our own ways. I'm not gonna let some Whiners ruin the game for me...

I don't really understand constant hating on both the new and old, as somebody who's played since Red and is very eagerly looking out to X and Y. I recall debating with somebody about how Mewtwo's new Forme was 'disrespectful to the franchise and its fans'. Well...I honestly don't know why that person thinks he can claim such things about a fictional character that's not even his; first of all, it being a good/bad Forme isn't objective, and secondly, he speaks of Pokémon like it's a religion with its virtues and sins, and not a franchise that was meant to make money for GameFreak in the first place (that's another thing you often hear; "Nintendo wants to make money so they make new Pokémon!" well, that's obviously been the reason since Gen 1 anyway!)

Well there's many people who fit that description that I know of
But the guy I speak of literally claims that genwunners are the best Pokémon fans and the rest are fanboys which "take anything GameFreak serves them". To him, Mewtwo's new Forme is supposedly "disrespectful" to its fans and the franchise in general, even though it was clearly intended to be the opposite. And honestly, it doesn't even seem like he's trolling. I forgot his username, it's been a while, but...wow.
