Honestly I had a dream about this arc where when he got to Echo, his bubble was so full that she's just like "Bippity Boppity, now your bubble will go poppity." for no reason just to piss him off.

Well, he's the father of Winky Kong, known for having once hated Lanky due to the fact that he reminded him of his first "girlfriend", who had nearly assaulted him before being stopped by his current wife Amy. Things changed once Sapphire started taking advantage of this hatred, worrying everyone else around him. Fortunately, Lanky knew that a few kind words would help break this spell, and the rest is history!
