Very unique design.
I love the high contrast shading as well. The fact that it's blocking so much light really helps reinforce the idea of a huge hulking mech.

thank you! if i had done it now i think i would have gone the lazy route and block modeled it in 3d to nail the lighting and stuff. but i think it worked out ok

Looks more like siege instalation than a mech. It's HUGE!

I could see this in a cool action film with it fighting a force over the horizon while also engaging in a saber/ bayonet infantry raid on the decks.

I think it could do with a chin MG turret. All its point defence weapons are side mounted.

that was definantly on the drawing boards... kinda like a smaller gun - like on an apache helicopter. i didn't include it only because it seemed a little over the top, although sitting back now im sure i could have worked it in... the firing gallery in the middle would help in the mean time i guess :/
but thank you for your observation!

Now that's one big mech...would but a serious hurting on many things.
I notice the 'arms' looks like a very familiar tank turret though.

hehe, thank you! i was even thinking about placing a much taller sensor tower up top and really focusing on the ship idea, but between the prow, the deck and galleries that can be fired upon, i didn't want to stress anything past a breaking point

Ya i know what you mean. O just wondering a couple of thing.
1.What is its top speed.
2.Does it use gyroscopic stabilizers to keep upright or is it bottom heavy?
3.Troop deployment or offloading loading. Do peopl exit out of the feet or does it have to dock? What about in an emergency. What distance would the crew have to go to be in the "safe zone"
4. last one. What is it powered by?
Sorry about the question I'm just really curious.

most of these answers are speculation, as i am only drawing this to the visual requirements of the commissioner, however the form suits him fine so let me attempt to fill in the blanks!
1) i should suspect slightly faster than a human jogging. this isn't meant to be graceful. however i could see short bursts attainable.
2) while its feet are massive and heavy, its top is certainly heavier. it was requested that the mech have it center of gravity as low to the earth as possible, to make tipping less of a threat. while i don't think a giant gyroscope is the sole provider of stability, gyro scopes could certainly be used for various functions within
3) there is as far as im aware no active garrison on board. however the crew is larger than actual mannable weapon points are present to allow for redundancy and the manning of the upper deck (wielding small arms or larger rocket launchers and the like. i tried hinting at some sort of structure, by showing ladder rungs along the side of the shin so that the lower ball gunners could get in and out of their turrets, however those are the only positions not attached to the upper body. for staffing some sort of dry dock would be needed and the loading and unloading apart from emergency maneuvers would be done from above.
4) the defacto answer for this question: "cold fusion plasma reactors fed by perpetual motion devices that through diffusion draw dark matter into reactors that run zero point energy relays that than turn hydro electric generators which provide the torque needed to shift the gears in the manual transmission that allow the mech to walk forward fast enough to provide wind power to the turbines that are all located on the other side and can't be seen in this picture"
