Description just something i worked up today in my free time at the expense of my econ notes

kinda wanted a knigh+hightech look thus all the leather.

im scanning this at school, so i didn't have a tortilon (sp) to make the back boxes more uniform... so you get to see all my lines. ill probably leave him at this stage and call it done.

comments/crits over anatomy would be awesome. his left arm is a stretch of the imagionation, but i wanted his shoulders angled so that arm would be lower (also, his fingers are out, making it look longer + ! with his armor you can't tell where his elbow is)

lol im looking at it. it looks awesome. but the one thing comes to mind. would you just live in it. or would you take the 2 hrs a day to put it on and take it off. i mean dam look at all the buckles. this is very good

as far as anatomy goes, he's got awfully good posture.
I'm imagining him moving and that arm, its gotta be brutal

I clicked on this thinking it was a mecha, so you got there with the high tech part! I like it.

Hey, your work is awsome!
I'd just like to say, looks to me as if his left hand needs to be in front of the left leg,
as if reaching across his waist. Then again, I could be whacked...lol.
Keep up the amazing art!
Regards, Pete.

I have absolutely no drawing skills, but as you write "concept"....... what is it meant for?

A concept is mostly used for any project, I was asking in my own terrible way "what will the project be"

i know i know, im just grabbing at staws! but at least i learned something!

anyway, i may ink it, but probably won't. this is just a concept peice and unless i spend allot of time inking it, im afraid i will lose the sould of the pencil strokes.... keep in mind i can't belive i just said "sould of the pencil" but oh well

firefromheaven [2005-04-22 02:17:30 +0000 UTC]

try to stand so that your hand is below your knees and still take the same pose as the guy above.....

Legato895 In reply to firefromheaven [2005-04-22 03:29:34 +0000 UTC]

i know, that was a ditch attempt at redeeming my anatomy! its something i need to work on and certainly double check (although getting up and posing out some of my pictures would probably scare a few people)

it doesnt have to be human
therefore proportion mistakes can seem intentioal

I don't know if it's me but somehow it looks as if the left arm is longer then the righ, by alot.

Great work none the less.

Neo-Epsilon [2005-04-21 23:31:46 +0000 UTC]

Very cool..... Only things I notice is that the waist alignment seems off relative to the legs and body, and that the left foot seems bland. Maybe add some grooves and a sole... Ah well. Awesome detail as always.

Legato895 In reply to Neo-Epsilon [2005-04-22 01:38:23 +0000 UTC]

lol... hes uh... stylized! er... *loses*

as for the boots i wanted to make them rather solid toed looking to balance out the insane detail elsewhere, but i could easily see where your coming from.

thank you for the ideas/pointers
