Description
Seres is a nun and the daughter of the Priest, the Loyal Sage's descendant. She is also one of the descendants of the original Seven Sages who sealed the Sacred Realm centuries ago before the events of The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds. She is the first to be kidnapped by Yuga because he finds her beautiful, but it turns out he need her and other special people like her to release Ganon from his seal, then merge with him. Seres painting got sent to Lorule's Skull Woods, then got rescued by Link. After awakening her status as a Sage, she will use her power with the other Sages to summon Link's Triforce of Courage, so he could defeat the Demon King's combined form, save Princess Zelda and bring the Hyrulean Triforce back to its world.No Sages other than Seres could be the descendant of Princess Zelda from Ocarina of Time, making her the current Sage of Time, also a relative to the Seven Wise Men and the Seven Maiden due to the Wise Men's long time connections with the Royal Family of Hyrule. It is also theorized that Seres is similar to Saria by the color of her hair and her name.

interesting but unlikely since both Link and Zelda were supposed to have been killed by Gannon in the fallen timeline in which the game takes place.

Not Zelda. I don't really know what really happened to Zelda in the Downfall Timeline... but for all I know only Link got defeated and Zelda got kidnapped by Ganondorf, just before they got their Triforce extracted from their hands. I read the Hyrule Historia, it wasn't wrote that Zelda got killed...

Ah I see I was just going off of old information. Although from what I heard Hyrule Historia is more like theory's since the people of hyrule can't seem to remember anything straight that's happened in the last hundred years

That's true. It's always been like that, every single time they release a sequel taking place centuries later so the people couldn't remember what specifically happened all these years. So, the stories could confuse the players, like A Link Between Worlds' backstory was actually about Ocarina of Time, the Imprisoning War and the split of the Triforce that happened supposedly after Link's Awakening's events. It's the same for a prequel which "has" to change the series every time.
