Description
The first time I saw Nick Fury was in my "How to draw comics the Marvel Way" as drawn by the great John Buscema. It's My mom's best gift to me ever and I still can't thank her enoughSecret Invasion lets me draw all those great Marvel characters that I grew up copying from Buscema's fantastic illustrations... and then some
I love my work!

Fantastic Nick Fury! Secret Invasion is more and more interesting at each new issue... But my favourite character didn't appear yet... I want to see a Doctor Strange draw by you!! It was incredible.
Congratulations from Spain

That is a badass drawing, you are one of my favourite artists. Secret Invasion has been awesome so far and I hope someday I can join the infamous marvel bullpen!

My favorite variant cover ever. I should have been the regular cover. Im not sure if this is a silly question but, how are the covers chosen?
Also while it looks awesome, I wonder how can you expect to beat super skrulls with a couple of 25's. It cant be done. Then again, it is nick fury.

speaking of Snake.... It's sucks that MGSolid is out and I've yet to finish GTA4 and haven't even played a single stage of Condemned 2.... too many games to play, books to read and sites to surf and work

Ok, I'm just going to ask you this and hope you care enough to answer: did you intend on someone else to ink over your job in Secret Invasion the way it was done?
Honestly, having seen your previous work, I feel that the inking on SI doesn't exactly compliment your wonderful textured line-art.

hey!
I love Mark's work over me and he really turns all my lines into intentionally beautiful strokes. Yes, it's not the style that I originally intended but after seeing Mark's work, I think it enhances my work in many other ways just beautiful, clean lines.
.... and to top all that, fans couldn't be happier with his interpretation of my lines.

I think the effect is achieved with a portrait lens (50 mm) tho I'm not good enough to render a pencilled blur effect.

Great pencil rendering, but... By the perspective rules, shouldn't the fists be bigger?

depends on the "camera lens" you are using, I guess and how far the subject is from it. Generally, yes, it should be bigger. I chose to make it almost with zero perspective because I wanted the face to be the focus.
think of this as a picture shot from a distance... then cropped.

You used a good zoom lens, in that case
I usually tend to observe things from VERY close-up distances, so i'm aware of the perspective and tend to notice when there's not so much of it... Anyway, i like your pencil rendering grayscale-like. It adds to the color for a great finish

What a beauty~ I absolutely love it. From the shading to the detail and expression... That's the Nick Fury I remember from back in the day. Though I do love the Ultimates version as well (his uncanny resemblence to Samuel L. Jackson truly made the chose on casting him fairly simple.) Love It.
