I took this shot while I was doing the Open Gardens Project in Alconbury and the idea behind it was to give a feeling of hiding from the wasp while still spying on it like a predator.So it looks hiden away minding its own business...
So hard to get this shot as it was handheld and there was a slight breeze...

You used a lens over 100mm? yeah then it can be hard to keep the shake away. You did a great job

yeah i use 180mm macro as I dont like to disturb either the insects in taking photos off and I dont have to step over wild flowers and plants to get the photo I'm looking for.

I know I keep on commenting on your work, but its cos its just so good! I do really love this photograph. You did a fantastic job just catching the bee and it being sharp, le talone the fact that compositionally its fantastic and the colours in it are gorgeous! Such a good photo
