I see, so you do not ink your pics right? Just use blue pencil, then take away the pencil art when all the flats are laid down? I don't understand how to color a pic with vector masks, I just use a brush for that.

i don't use ink, it's all... the blue pencil is a photoshop brush too. vector mask is, by all means, a mask. but is made of nodes, which you can edit at your will.

Ah, I see. So a vector mask is sort of like a flood fill for an area that can be controlled by nodes... I guess that sorta makes sense...
I was wondering, in the panels that mention adding details, could you be more specific on what tools are used, how to use them, and where they were used? Since I don't understand the progression of those pics and how to follow along. Unless it is just all vector masks and maybe smudge tools? Any other tools used? I would greatly appreciate any advice you have for this

my process is actually very simple. it's basically masks (vector masks, or normal masks, depends on what kind of stuff i'm doing) to define the overall shapes of layers, and brushes to make the details, lol
there's not any secret, or complicated fancy tools, i just paint the details inside the initial color shapes using photoshop brushes

yeah, it would work in any digital painting software... it's not meant to be a rule, that's just my way of doing things, and it's pretty much based on my own experience with digital painting... i think the main question is if this would work for you as an individual.

Well i'm doing semi realism right now as a sort of start before my school's art GCSE so i'm sure if i follow this tutorial i'm sure I could get some thing out of it. By the way i love your paintings

Ha muito eu conheço o deviantart e é comum ter por aqui grandes trabalhos, mas somente agora com o seu trabalho tão fantástico eu enfim me cadastrei, e apenas para lhe parabenizar pela sua arte digital... imagino o quão trabalhoso deva ser para você fazer um trabalho como esse, mas eu fico imaginando como seriam as outras sailors. Como amante de Sailor moon peço encarecidamente que vc considere fazer as outras sailor, você nao imagina o quao frustrante é você ver apenas algumas delas representadas de forma tao especial e nao poder ver as outras rsrs. pleaseeee

pode cre ainda n tenho esses olhos pra anatomia por isso n consigo identificar, talves a otra mão esteja em uma posição estranha ou a cabeça tales esteja um poco reta com o pescoço, mais n sei n tenho certeza , ha de chegar o dia em que consiga bater o olho e saber.. vlw por responder ae! kkk
