Another drawing, another raremare!
Some of you may recognize this cutie.She's one of the students at the School of Friendship in S9. And she's just too beautiful not to get her own piece of fanart.
I tried something different with the lines this time, using a thicker, sharper brush.
I think it gives the drawing a more "comic"-like touch and I'm thinking of keeping it. What do you guys think?

On the right, a fun version with Fuchsia as the mythical Queen of Cakes.Β
Could the legend be true? There's another cake horse besides Princess Celestia?

The lines really caught my eye at first glance. They're nice and wispy--fun to look at. The flat version kind of makes me want to see a flat-shaded version. They really under-utilized these sorts of reverse-color manes in the show, but it makes them that much more special when they appear

And yep, completely agree: usually they use darker manes and lighter coats, but when they switch that, the mare/horse in question stands out. :3

And it's accurate, too: I felt like Fuchsia isn't a fan of bugs, so I thought I'd use a bee for comedic purposes, to achieve the perfect "eew, back off!" expression XD

She is very beautiful and you did a great job on making her even "to the point" adorable with this facial expression

Though if I do have a recommendation for you with your future art, you seem to have the tendency to draw you ponies facing the left XD think itβs kinda funny, though I have seen some recent set of them facing the right and they look really cool!
Think you should experiment more with it ^^ it will help your art so much, your art is already so amazing ^^

And yes, you are absolutely right, I was actually thinking about it! Because while I was drawing this, I accidentally hit "flip" so I found myself staring at a horse looking to her right, which was very unusual. XD And that made me realize I always draw them facing the left, so I definitely want to try and experiment with the other way.
Do you think I should draw a pony facing the left from the start, or just flip the finished image and see how it looks? Probably the first one is better for improvement.Β Β

And donβt worry about it XD I used to have the same problem. I feel like this has a lot to do with being right handed, itβs just so much easier
And I would definitely recommend jusr drawing it facing the right at first XD it will help you improve your skill in the long run ^^ definitely start with head shots first than move on to full bodies, though from what I can tell, you seem very confident with full bodies facing the right (if I recall) those were the ones I saw facing the right, lol
