Where to begin. This is part joke, part actual commission.I blame ~Rhakos for being so vague with me about the whole "Have Fox and Fara on a beach together" thing. I thought about painting a little cabana in the distance, but in the end I thought it might be a little...much.
In any case, one of the (many) things that bugs me about some of the StarFox fanfics out there is the fact that whenever there's a malfunctioning Arwing, you can bet that it's the bloody G-Diffuser that's at the heart of the problem. Just once I'd like the malfunction to be Fox accidentally spilling a mojito on the console.
Just once.

At least when an anti-matter reactor shows a malfunction all things blow up beyond repair, which I find to be a VERY solid reason for not using this blasted prototype technology in an otherwise perfectly reliable starfighter!

I think Falco's complaint about the G-Diffuser is partially to blame, too. It's not just the fanfiction where the G-dif has a problem, but the universe itself.
Either way, it looks like Fox didn't check it beforehand in this picture.

I read the artists comments. Sometimes I look at the picture specifically to see if the artist has something to say about it...
I liked your comment about the G-diffuser, but that might be exactly what you are talking about. No pilot is ever going to announce over the radio that he spilled his latte-grande on the console. In a tight (stressful) situation, our pilots explain that they are unable to find the seat cushion. Guitarists wag their head bemoaning the fact that they broke a g-string while diddling with a chord. Specialists have their own lingo, and I have a problem with this damned cupholder keeps sliding back into the computer and spilling my coffee everywhere.

My comment about Fox's problem always seeming to stem from the G-Diffuser had little to do with him (as a character) always pinning the blame on the piece of equipment, and more to do with the lack of imagination that many fanfic writers exhibit.
Because the G-Diffuser was one of the only pieces of the Arwing which was named in manuals, it seems to be the "only" thing that ever malfunctions in fanfics. At this point I'd be happy to just see a bloody wing fall off -- something simple. Or even better, I'd love to hear about how the guidance system malfunctioned. Or the FTL drive kicks the bucket.
Anything but the G-Diffuser.
Seriously, if I see a writer blame the G-Diffuser, I literally stop reading at that very point.

Hey, that's pretty damn good. I don't see many Star Fox action scenes around DA or the fandom involving Fara, so I quite like this.

Heh, it figures that the awesome art only shows itself when I'm gone from here for long periods of time. Seriously though, this is the best image that I've seen of Fox and Fara together, and I have seen many such images in the past. I will definately have to add this to my favourites.

LoL hey maybe Arwings need an R2 astromech droid to ride along on 'em! "R2 that stabilizer has come lose... do You think You can lock it down!?" is the usual trouble with X-wings & in Arwings its the G-diffusers. Blasted, even when I was building my Lego Arwing model, I had trouble getting those bloody G-diffusers to look right! Its on my page if anyone is interested...
