I think this is kinda wrong but then it is reality and theres nothing you can do about I have a strong feelings for horse,dogs and cats but it don't be upset at least its not your animal that has been killed for food

I know we eat animals like this (cow, chicken, pig, etc.) but this is just cruel to me. I don't understand why someone would want to hurt a loving animal just to eat them?? And yes I understand that I'm a little sensitive when it comes to dogs, but I don't understand why people would hurt these beloved creatures.

Call me sentimental, but in my opinion the relationship between us and dogs has gone on so long that the idea of eating dog is just...kinda messed up.
You can tell a man by how he treats his dog, that rule alone tells me all I need to know about these places.

Very interesting, and obviously a very strong shot judging by peoples reactions. It's sad to see since we know dogs so well but we do the same thing to animals, just ones not all of us are familiar with as pets. ): It's sad, but still. My response was in a joking matter b/c all in all it's acceptable and nobody can do anything about. What can you do about it. What would you do about the matter of eating people being an acceptable practice in civilized countries? Get mad? Just attack people with petty words and shove your beliefs down someone's throats? it's the same fucking thing, pigs are proven to be even smarter than certain races of dogs, so why do we still slaughter them so much? I find it funny when I find people that go 'ohh it's different, you see, I'm used to the idea of killing pigs so I don't mind, but dogs are cuute!' grow up

It's odd how people here get grossed out just because it's little Fido over there. Yeah, that is a cruel reality. You're on top of the food chain. You kill to eat. Whether it's cute bunnies, innocent chicken or harmless cattle, it's as it's been for centuries: killing for a living.
Oh, and I've seen some pretty stupid comments about how people go vegan because they don't want animals to be slaughtered: hypocrisy runs high. Bet you wouldn't gobble down that salad if it shrieked when you pulled it out of the earth, huh? That's right, keep lying to yourselves.
On topic: great photograph, very moving and it would have still been moving no matter what animal hung there as a sacrifice for our (ever-increasing) needs. Also, great photojournalism piece! Hats off to you, sir!

I'm not saying what happens is OK but it's the same for any animal. Slaughtering innocent sheep. Decapitating chickens. Gutting fish still alive. In a previous comment, I posted how my dad, as a butcher for a few decades taught me it's the cruel reality our world lives in and even though we must take it for granted, we must not abuse this privilege of being the advanced race (I refrain from saying superior because we are certainly not).
Oh, and on a side note, to all those xenophobes out there, saying "China does this and that and they're bastards", you all eat beef. You're fucking monsters to, say, Indians whom revere that majestic animal in a special sanctity. Lower the hypocrisy, people. Accept the given reality.
But do so kindly and assume your actions in your pursuit for comfortable living.
Once again, great image, and yes, it's good that this creates controversy. Makes people use that brain a bit more and maybe change a few ideas
