Then you missed a character. Every female character before Chrom's marriage that's not from a paralogue (meaning Anna doesn't count) has a child. Chrom and your MU also have their own children.

Yarne isn't too hard. Just join the red team, send put Panne/Chrom on a character flying unit, and talk to him. You could join the green team but that makes things a lot harder since he can fight you, and the red team is just harder to beat. Green is all Calvary, and red is all knights.
