This is how I think the Pokemon in the 'gender unknown egg group' (or all Pokemon in general) are tricked into breeding with Ditto. If you don't know, Pokemon in this egg group can only breed with Ditto. They can't even breed with their own kind! Just imagine their happiness when they actually produce an egg.ΒAnyway, it's sad that Ditto can't breed with other Dittos.

There is a Pokemon theory that ditto(s) are the result of a failed attempt at cloning mew. Perhaps the scientists have tried many times.
