XD I just found this today, but I'm really glad you made it. I'm also quite pleased to find out I've been doing a lot of this stuff already. That makes me feel better about myself and my work, at least. I know i still have a lot to learn, but its a good start. XP

I think everyone that starts a DA account should have to read the part about suggestions for DA. The whole tutorial was extremely helpful. I wish I had read this back when I first started photographing. The camera settings section would have saved me a lot of wasted time and photographs.

Hi, good tute, although having had a bit of (mostly self-taught) photography experience and art instruction, it was a bit basic, but it's always good to be reminded of these things! I think I'd appreciate the advanced tutorial you hinted at

Thanks, lewcid, for taking the time for us new photographers, especially those that can't figure out what they are doing wrong with their photos! I've been actually interested in -photography- as opposed to just taking pictures, for about 4 months... Since I got my digital. Before that was just a whole crapola load of disposables for the hell of it.
THANKS!
(I tend to overdo the photoshop thing, I have noticed that some of my better pictures are more simply edited than the ones I dislike... XD
