Lex I still do not understand ... Titanic hit the ice berg because of the small rudder, or did not come because of the iceberg?

the Iceberg was seen by the lookouts too late because of the weather conditions and the fact their binoculars were locked away without a key onboard

Also, Take Into Account That Because The Engines Were Thrown Into Reverse, The Rudders Effect Was Reduced Even Further.

not to mention in the documentary, Titanic: Final Mystery, they said with the weather conditions and temperature, it caused and optical illusion making it seem like the iceberg was never there until the last moment, if there was no illusion then the look outs would have seen the berg 30 minutes away, plenty of time to turn the ship

the moon was in a new moon phase which is where the term "Moonless night" comes into play, and the seas were so calm that there wasn't any wave activity which is where the unseen iceburg comes into play also the water temerature was below freezing and there weren't enough lifeboats on board so put those 4 factors together and the Titanic meets it's tragic end taking around 1500 lives, the youngest survivor of the disaster was 9 weeks old and never got to know her father she passed away at the age of 97 years Rest in Peace Millvina Dean
