Description My submission this contest khplatoniclove.deviantart.com/…
!!!! BEWARE OF HUGE IMAGE !!!!
but it was sooo worth it :3 i really like this group and I'm proud to be a member :3
There was a list from themes to choose from ... i coulnd't really decide between "fake" and "memories" so i mixed them to one xD
I just love platonic AkuSai *-* and Roxas and Xion just belong there too ^^
This is kinda from Saixs point of view. Inspired by the line from Days "Some make believe friendship, or a real one" because i can't wrap my head around the fact, he somehow talked about his old friendship with Lea ._. this is soooooooo sad

urgh .... reuploaded because i found 2 typos ...... xD

Anyways, hope you guys like it :3

If I see that friendship from the last panel turn real in canon, I get kh III right away! This reminds me of the Twilight Town quatuor with Roxas, even if it was all a lie. T-T

*OT4 SQUEE~*

I'll have to comment on this (and on your wonderful Hayner/Pence/Olette/Roxas/Axel/Xion pic!) later, but just wanted to mention that there's actually another small error: it ought to be "I thought our friendship would last forever..."

Usually I wouldn't point it out because it's such a small thing, but I try to give a little more critique than usual on contest entries - last time, the competition was so stiff that a lot of the judges had to really nit-pick just to decide which order to place the entries in. X'D

But anyway, nice job on the art and overall concept! : D

thanks ^^ i had it like this in the first draft too be honest but i wasn't sure about it i blame my english teacher xD i'm gonna fix it right away ^^

I love critique xD its sometimes better than the "oh nice" comments because i think, the person who commented actually gave a thought about the piece ^^

raberbagirl In reply to Lexalice [2014-03-31 21:05:28 +0000 UTC]

Ahaha. X'D Sometimes even teachers aren't sure (I should know, since I am one...), but in this case, I'm sure.

If I had time, I'd do an in-depth critique of every story I read (I don't know how to do it for visual art, though X'D). But I barely have time to even read these days, much less analyze a story, so I usually save my critique for when it's something that would greatly improve the piece and is easily fixed. ^^

And yeah, I know what you mean.... Thoughtful feedback is nicer to get, even if it includes suggestions for improvement. It shows that the person cares about the piece and wants it to be the best it can be.
But I know that a lot of artists and writers are too sensitive and react badly to receiving even gentle critique, so people get discouraged about trying to critique anything. X'D (Thanks for taking it well, btw!)

Lexalice In reply to raberbagirl [2014-03-31 21:12:18 +0000 UTC]

huh you're a teacher? xD you're a pretty cool teacher then xD I think i'd fangirl if i my teacher would know and like Kingdom Hearts xD

I'm reading a lot lately ^^ but thanks to my poor english knowledge, i can't give a proper critique ._. but sometimes i try xD
Like most people here on dA, i think my art still needs improvement so i'm thankful to every suggestion i recieve  ^-^
I don't even understand why people can't take critique ._. those who give critique just want people to improve their art oh well ^^

raberbagirl In reply to Lexalice [2014-03-31 21:35:02 +0000 UTC]

Well, I only taught for one year (I hated it XD XD), but I've been substitute teaching for a long time. Teaching is reeeaaallly not my thing, but I love the schedule substitute teachers have, it's so flexible. : D I can still sub a little bit even though I work at the library now. ^^

Your English is pretty good, I read a lot of your text before I realized that it might not be your first language. I know what you mean about it being tough to critique in a second language!

If you want to improve your English even more, read as much as you can - not fanwork for this purpose (since many native English speakers on the Internet don't write correctly X''''D), but official published stuff, any book or article you can find that's written by a native English speaker. The more you read, the better your vocabulary gets, and you also get a better sense of the grammar.
(My knowledge of English grammar is actually very poor, I could barely even help my ten-year-olds with their English assignments when I was teaching them. X'D However, I've read so much that I can fake good grammar pretty well in my own writing.
[Ftr, my area of expertise is English literature, reading and writing and critiquing, but not the language itself. ])

People can be too sensitive because they get too attached to their art.... They feel like a person is criticizing them rather than just their work. :/

Every artist, no matter how good, can always improve, so fair critique ought to always be welcome.
It can be reeeeaaallly hard to accept, but I've forced myself over the years to get tougher and be more mature about it, because I do want my writing to improve, and true critique in fandom is so rare!
(I mean, I've had people get mad at me or say really unfair things because they didn't like the pairings I used in some of my stories, but that's not critique. )

Lexalice In reply to raberbagirl [2014-03-31 21:53:08 +0000 UTC]

i could never be a teacher xD I'm not that good with children (not good with people in gernal )
Woow *-* i love libraries ... but they're rare where i live ._. And i read most of their books already but working in a library or a bookstore would be pretty cool though

That means a lot to me :3 considering i'm only 16 and my english lessons are very .... well, not that good because we rarely talk and most of our assigments are only for grammar. And as important grammar can be sometimes, it will get you nowhere once you're on a english platform like dA or in a foregin country. I taught me most of my english myself by watching english movies and reading english books ^^
I love reading *-* i usually read only in german and this got me already some good marks in school because i CAN write proper stories and texts.

An artist needs to seperate his own feelings from his art when they receive critique ... but most can't do that and thus they feel offended. I can understand that they like their art (its the same with me ) but only by accepting critique, you can improve.

[hating a pairing is no critique ... no matter what. If they say WHY they don't like the pairing in a mature way, its interesting. But "ew this pairing sucks" is no critique]

raberbagirl In reply to Lexalice [2014-03-31 22:20:41 +0000 UTC]

Me neither. X'D I don't even like children to begin with, though I've gotten used to them by now because I've worked with them so long. (And they are SUPER-FUN to write, even though I don't like them in real life. XD XD) But it's difficult to deal with the kids' misbehavior AND their parents getting on your case AND your principal having impossible expectations of you AND the horrible, never-ending paperwork....
The moment when I realized that Saix's job in the Organization is almost exactly like teaching, that's when he started becoming one of my favorite characters. XD (It was when I wrote Christmas at the Castle.)

I've always adored books since I was little. X3 It is a dream come true to get to work in a library (and get paid for it!), I love iiiit!
It's sad to hear that they're rare where you live, though! Libraries are so valuable to a community....

LOL, yeah; when you're learning the conversational aspect of a language, it's more helpful to chat with native speakers and watch their movies and TV. (But then if that's all you rely on, then you won't know how to communicate properly in more formal settings. X'D) You seem to have found a pretty well-balanced way to learn English! : D

Exactly.... Real critique is meant to bring improvement, not offend!

And EXACTLY, argh. I've had people tell me that I wrote characters 'OOC' just because they were paired with someone the reader didn't like. -.- Ridiculous....
I actually love hearing people's different pairing opinions, it's fascinating to me - but not when they're just using it as an excuse to unfairly criticize my work.

Sorry for the delayed reply ._. sleep got the better of me

Hehe me too ^^ i like to work with children in comics or even stories because they give the story this certain fluff-factor xD but in real life they're just so .... meh xD
Poor Saix and organizing the organization while Xemnas is a lazy bum ._. i think he does nothing different than sitting in the room where nothing gathers and sometimes raving about Kingdom Hearts xD

Books are something great *-* i always loved reading and i always will :3 sadly, most of the kids/teens in my age detest reading ._. Their marks in school are worse because they don't like literature and insult others as nerds ._. this is somthing i'll never understand

I like my way to learn english :3 its quite fun as well xD i mean, while i'm writing this comment, i'm somehow learning ^-^ and i enjoy chatting with native speakers ^^

hehe yeah ^^ i really like talking about others opinions about pairings. Sometimes they get me to like the ship too because their reasons are comprehensible to me
