This is another interior illustration from my second as yet unpublished novel entitled "The Saint of St-Foy".

Bonita the immortal witch has an odd hobby. She moonlights as the Angel of Death. She has been releasing souls for centuries. She was rather busy during the Black Plague. In this case she has a dying friend in an AIDS ward in the 1990's. The title is a geographic variant on that of the stage play "Angels in America".

She describes her wings as "dark", but they change shade with her mood just as her halo changes color.

There is a bipolar theme that runs through the novels: hope vs hopelessness.
