Description More of my Disney art appears in this gallery:

I never intended for this image to go beyond the five minute sketch that I posted previously, but here is a full color version.

I posted my sketch on the opening weekend of the film.
I thought I might actually be the first to post a Wall-e and Eve picture as humans. Ha! There were already several up that day and many more have followed. Most depict the pair as adolescents in puppy love. Here I take a more grown-up approach.

I LOVE the details! (Such as one of Wall-E's lenses is cracked!) Β Nice job!

THANX. Parts of it are a homage to silent movies.

I also got the message in the film about leaving everything to technology, hence the fat people aboard the Axiom eating (and drinking) nothing but food in a cup while doing nothing.

THANX.

It appears that I am alone in my conceptualization of this subject.

FINALLY SOMEBODY GETS IT!

The subversive subtext of that movie isn't the global warming crap. It is about the subjugation and exploitaion of a permanent underclass. Wall-E is forced to slave endlessly on a futile and mindless labor of Hercules. He is not supposed to have any humanity to lose, yet he develops A.I. and ultimately becomes aware of his impoverished and degrading circumstances.

It's A nice pic though I do not agree with this statement. WallE is a robot, he is designed for a specific purpose that humans made him for, which in the movie was to clean up earth so that it will eventually once again sustain life. When the operation failed, all the robots of his design were shut off. But they missed One. WallE still did his job, even after 700+ years, not because he is forced to, but because it was his "directive" He does not realize he can stop whenever he wants. Nobody Forces him to do this job. He does it because it is what he was created to do, and at no point does he (or anyone else for that matter) seam to care about his being "Out dated". The creators have said that WallE was not supposed to be about global warming, but instead simply about love, or rather romance

THANX for including my pic among your very first faves. As an author I weave many layers of meaning into my novels. I am fully aware of subtexts and subliminal meaning. I have seen this film. No matter what the Disney media machine says, the staff at Pixar are a very politicized lot and it shows.

No problem^^. When I said the creators, I meant Andrew Stanton, the writer/director of the film.

That's a good way of putting it. The underclass is also aboard the AXIOM, but they don't realize it.
