Description
I drove all the way from near Seattle in Washington State to the Wind River Basin of Wyoming in order to see the total eclipse of 2017. My location was a patch of badlands 20 km east of Lysite, Wyoming. The locality was a famous exposure of the Eocene Wind River Formation known as Buck Springs. My daughter and I were the only people present for many kilometers in any direction. This photo may not be of great quality, but it proves that we were there.
I will post more photos and a journal entry describing my odd adventure in detail.
This photo was taken at 11:42 MDT August 21, 2017 43 degrees 14.xx' north 107 degrees 29.xx' west.

Nicely done, I applaud your dedication to watching this less than a once in a lifetime event. (I just stood right outside of my garage to watch it, you make me feel so, so, mudane. Sigh, oh well, no way to fix it now!) Out of curiosity, what did you use to record it? My phone was all but useless in getting a good shot, even at total eclipse.

I turn 60 this fall. So for me this total eclipse was a once in a lifetime opportunity. My daughter was using her Canon EOS REBEL T2i.

Well total eclipses only happen about every two hundred years or so, that's why I called them LESS than once in a life time event. Thanks for the info though.

I am living now in Holland so we couldn't see it here, but this is such wonderful foto! You did it great!
May I ask what happened to Your daughter? What crown is that...?

My daughter took the photo. She had a temporary resin tooth awaiting replacement with a permanent ceramic tooth. The result is the equivalent of an open root canal.

THANX. The day after the eclipse I had to make a quick return because my daughter broke a temporary crown in the field. In compensation I took her through Yellowstone. So she got to see a total eclipse and Old Faithful within 24 hours.
