I've noticed that with one or two other artists, and I don't even follow Disney fanart that rabidly. And of course every so often someone cranks out a pic fusing the two.
I don't have too much trouble telling the two apart, but that's mainly due to their wildly different wardrobes/settings, and to a lesser degree the hue/shape of Kim's oddly tapering mane.

Y'know, I see JUST what you mean regarding the forelocks, though thankfully Ember's unique skin tone, eye-markings & lack of theatrical cloak go a long way toward separating the two.

I could easily do a cartoon with Raven sitting down and applying the make up to make the transformation.
The problem with cheaply produced cartoon shows, is that when you start adding quality to the image of their characters they morph into someone from feature animation. I have to be careful at not adding too much detail to Kim Possible or she blends into Ariel! My "Boudica and Daughters" pic was an exercise in keeping them distinct!

I toyed with the idea of word balloons, but one can provide one's own captions. One can however conclude that if Shego maintains her own world-class hair, she would make for a great beautician.

I decided to stop with further details with the flames when I had achieved my original intent. Guilding the lily don't pay the bills.
As for the expression on Ember's face: Think of the Delicatessen Scene from "When Harry Met Sally".

I was aware of your penchant for speed & quality, but this is still an eye-opener. Gorgeous pyrotechnic effect (with a nod to the Manhattan Project), perfect emerald eyes, delicious lines...and once again Ember's curious eye-shadow curlicues really stand out in my book. Stunning.

THANX. As I do these with the intent of selling the original art, it is encumbent on me to do them as quickly as possible. This one took a couple of hours on and off today from start to finish.
I have only read the episode guide synopsis of the Ember episodes from "Danny Phantom". It is not at all clear if her markings are makeup, the Mark of Cain or Maori-style tatoos. I had no reference pictures for her lower lids so eye made them like her upper eyelids. Ember is rather round-headed and if I doll her up too much she begins to look like Raven with those forelocks.

It probably was makeup, before she died. I'm sure the stage eyeliner stayed on as an imprint. But I'm not sure; I'm not Egon Spengler, you know.
