Guess what boys and girls, this what happens to art on a website that allows the posting of photos of genitalia but not the bossom of a comic character who has always been presented as an adult.
The complete version of this picture was denounced by some mouth breathing looney and removed from DA after about 72 hours of posting.
The perfunctory DA BS notice said it was taken down for "underage nudity", even when we all know that Shego is over 21. It isn't worth arguing with the DA moderators. This is the remaining half of a sketch card that was only 2 1/2" by # 1/2" in the first place.

It's a shame that DA won't let you show more of this picture. But even this cropped version evokes the tenderness and desire that the two women feel for each other. Shego seems to radiate both protectiveness of Kim and satisfaction with her possession of her, and Kim's face reflects overwhelming adoration for Shego as well as blissful resignation to Shego's possession of her. One of the loveliest images of erotic love between women that I've ever come across. Cheers!

It doesn't matter. The age "averaging" rule is invoked.
NO ONE has EVER intimated that Shego is under age and there are many nudes of Shego posted on DA.

DA retroactivley rewrote the rules to state that a cartoon character is considered to be the age that she most frequently appeared as in a series, not her final age.

hmmm.. do i be glad i saved the original..? guess i have something to ponder. and really, cases with only a complaint or two tend to wait for review by staff. cases with mass flags get autokilled after like, x hours i think.
sad thing is, there's people who do nothing but actively search and flag stuff they find the slightest bit offensive. me? i generally only flag blatant stupidity. (posting official release wallpapers direct from whatever companies website, for instance. or artbook scans cause you think they're cool. but ah, i digress.)

I will NEVER turn in another DA artist for subject matter. I have reported a few cases of plagarism and art theft.

I remain convinced that DA is so overworked and understaffed that half the reported items are never viewed, only taking the reporter's word at face value rather than taking the needed time to try judging for themselves. A pitiable state of affairs.

It is my understanding that they do not consider how old the character might be now, but how old the character was portrayed in the show. You could argue that since she graduated from HS that she would be at least 18 but the great majority of the show portrayed her as a minor and they take their ruling from that. I have had some works ditched myself so I am well aware of their rules. It is just not KIGO works too. I keep up with the pictures and there are actually more non-kigo works taken down than KIGO. I may not like KIGO but I think you have the right to draw it if you like it.

theyre doing a lot of taking down of kigo. their excuse is that for the majority of the show, kim was under the age of 18. its BS and we all know it. theyre being really immature about this stuff.

Typical.... This got reported and taken down but, oh someone's exposed genitalia being posted is perfectly fine as long as it passes for art? I am fairly smart but sorry...I shall never understand the logic of that. I think Shego is over 21 I mean her age was never said but I doubt she was 21. As for Kim? Still and pretty much is and will forever be debatable. Nothing has been stated that she was any specific age other than "high school" age (range of 14-18). However, in the Season 2 episode Car Trouble, Kim is stated as at least old enough to get a driver's license, which in most states (the show takes place in the United States) is 16. Kim also had mentioned that Ron had to take 12 years to kiss her in Homecoming Upset episode which indicates that she was likely 17 as of that episode. Graduating from high school and considering college acceptance letters in the series finale Graduation would likely put Kim at a few months shy of 18. During the episode Hidden Talent, Wade constructs a class ring with a mini Kimmunicator inside of it, the ring had an Emerald in the setting signaling that Kim's birth month could be May (traditional class rings within the United States are often adorned with the wearer's birthstone). Also in a few episodes she shows her love for being a senior as people stare at her, implying that she is a 17 or 18 year old student.

None of this matters to DA.
They went back and retroactivly REWROTE the fine print of the artists posting "agreement". It now says that the age of a character is determined by the average the age at which the character was depicted during the preponderance of a series of issue run.
By the "logic" of this definition Angelica Pickles will AWAYS be a kindergartener in the eyes of DA because there were more episodes of "Rugrats" made than "All Grown Up".

That was really smart of them to go and do,just going to cause many more problems then it solves in the end. DA seems pretty silly I mean basically in there eyes fictional characters permanently stays at well whatever age said character was most depicted as.

I don't know how old Kim is meant to be, but if she never hits 18 in the show, the convoluted bullshit that passes for logic on dA will decree that she is always under-age, and can never be drawn in sexy lingerie, or naked, or cuddling with someone who is either of those things... actually, even if she hits 18, she has to be 18+ in more episodes that she wasn't in order to not be classed as under-age.
It's completely insane, and petty, and ridiculous, but that's how it is, and arguing against it is like arguing with a brick wall... only less kind to our heads.

I'm genuinely surprised that this one got taken down. I mean, Shego had a teaching degree in the show, so she had to be at least what, 22 or 23? And you didn't see anything as far as Kim went...

That is irrelevant anyway. I have depicted Shego nude repeatedly WITHOUT KIM, and no one has ever objected.

It was explicitly stated that Shego had a college degree, which is four years of schooling after high school graduation, which one can assume would happen around age 17 or 18, and shego was not in school during any of the events of the tv show, so shego is -at least- 21 or 22. Legal. Well, you know, to anyone with half a brain.
