The lighting is ... wow. It's breathtaking. Normally I'm not too interested in this sort of work, but it helps to recall this is a drawing.

The scenery is right out of some covert Black Ops type of thing (not that I have any idea what I'm talking about) and the lighting and reflections are spot on spectacular. Very well done!

OOh brother. There are soo many exceptionally good elements to this artwork. The mood, the floor looking slik like that, the rain drops and the light effects.
The only things that bothers me a bit is the 'old fashion' truck on the left. The soldiers, the other vehicles and the compound look too modern to have this type of truck in it.

WOOOWW! I thought it was a photo in the thumbnail.. I think my favorite part is the sky with the moon and the clouds.. The lighting really gives it believability and realism, even though it looks like a painting.. Wonderful piece.

outstanding work. congrats on the DTF, it's well deserved. i just decided to check out DA real quick tonight on my last day of leave, and this popped up on the frontpage. glad to see you're still at it and still putting out quality work. the lighting and reflections are perfectly captured in this scene. that cold, wet, dreary atmosphere comes alive when i look at this. it almost makes me feel bad for those guys standing guard in the rain. my only bit of constructive criticism is that the humvee is too low to the ground. unless its a future model of the "lowrider humvee" with hydraulics or something.
hope to see a more detailed and refined version of this in your gallery next time i log on.

All your crits are actually right on the money. I personally had even more points of concern.
I have my goals set on a even more complex design. Something less stylistically colored, more concrete. This study will be on the back burner until someday I can devote more time to it.

It's just a name.
I thought the name would imply the people left behind doing work that will be more difficult due to personaell shortage, as it often is being on a skeleton crew of ANY vessel. add some atmosphere and rain, just to make their job a little worse.
