Wow - back to the printers for a second edition! This one will include two new stories (one of which I posted on DA - 'A Sticky Matter, Best Forgotten'.)Nice to get the SFX quote on the cover too!

Cheers mate. It's nearly impossible to get your book any exposure these days - most of the work seems to come AFTER you've written the thing! - but I'm glad there has been a genuinely positive response to date. It's about the scariest thing I ever did. Drawing comics is collaborative, I didn't (for 99% of it) write the strips. This, however, is my own singular vision. I've had mates say 'I expected to cringe' because they had no expectation, or a very low one. Not many knew I loved to write, so I think they expected just dumb genre thuggery! It's certainly not that.

I can imagine (somewhat) how daunting publishing the book must have been, but to onlookers like me, you're a billboard for risk taking (that's successful risk taking!). I seem to approach fantasy these days with scornful criticism... I have read the same vacuous thing over and over again and it is tiring. Having Abnett and friends say those wonderful things sure challenges my negativity. Anyway, looking forward to getting my hands on a copy

I felt EXACTLY as you did about fantasy - that's one of the reasons I was compelled to write the thing!
Risk taking - yeah, I guess I do. It's not made me remotely wealthy, but it's made my life varied and infinitely rewarding. I'd never change that.
