Another WIP while I should be working...My thoughts in this one are, I hope, pretty clear. Needs A LOT of work and detail.
Daleks, Dalek Emperors and Doctor Who all belong to richer people than me.

Well hurry it up! I'm excited for this. You gonna follow City of the Daleks and make the shell the colour of the strategists? (which is red in this case correct?)

The colours you see there are what you're getting on the final product (which will be done when it's good and ready). I'm taking white to denote the Dalek ruling class and as such am going with the Emperor colour scheme from 'Evil of the Daleks'.
And while I guessed that was their intention with the blue emperor in City of the Daleks, I thought it really should have been a darker blue...

Well if you ask the BBC I am sure they don't think of themselves as rich.
But if your worried about they coming after you, generally they have been OK with fan art.

Love to see more detail of the dalek under the emperor or what you're thinking there.

Oh, I'm not worried about them. I type those things according to what I find funny at the time...and, hey, they are all richer than me!
I should get on and finish this, but my attention span with models is limited and I skip on to the next project every other week.

Kinda reminds me of the emperor from Evil of the Daleks...
And yeah, I recall seeing the Golden emperor from the British comic.

Be amusing if Daleks had probe versions of them selves to send off to scout out with out committing themselves to the mission.

Just plain sweet. Y'know, I'd keep the "small Emperor inside a big suit" angle - then you can have something/someone taunt the Emperor for being immobile and unarmed, and the 'real' Emperor comes out and gets to some exterminating.

THAT IS SO COOL! Is the main part of the Emperor like a Ship, and the throne a Landing Base?
Also, does the smaller Mobile Unit come out of the bottom, for when the Emperor Himself wants to fight in battle?

Yeah, more or less. The main part is the life-support unit, the container for the actual creature. The base is a computer interface.
And yes, the idea is to have the smaller emperor casing store inside the larger. Not sure if I'll keep that feature for the comic, though...

Keep it, It's cool. Maybe, usually he monitors everything on Skaro in the Emperor Unit, but when fighting major enemies like Davros or the Doctor, The Emperor himself goes to battle in the smaller unit.

In this case, it's more a Dalek computer pod, for Imperial personages only, of course. That said, there are cases in the comics where they dream up some wonderfully bizzare flying weapons. Check out [link] to see them brought into 3d life.

The upper pert, especially the wing(?) joints reminds me a lot of Billy Home's spider dalek. The base platform is a novel if somewhat pointless addition to my mind. If the top can fly then why add a hover platform? Nice design anyway, lots of intriguing questions.

It's not a hover platform, rather a...base-station. The basic design is, of course, extrapolated from the Parting of the Ways emperor - I was looking at it for references and suddenly realised that the bronze sections - the core and the shields - look like a completely different machine to the base they were mounted on. It occured to me that having the Dalek Emperor built literally into the structure of one ship would be a bit silly, so what if the emperor's casing is *just* the upper sections and that it could detach and move about? I figure that this does not happen very often but that it can be done.
Thus, in this design, the emperor's casing can detach from the base and hover off, but the base itself is built into the Dalek City control room.

Looked at it from that angle later in the day actually but didn't correct my original comment. Assumed later it to be some kind of central battle computer link to a flagship or something similar there being a similar but not identical structure in every large command installation and vehicle, a sort of throne combined with over-riding control computer matrix.
