Description
āI can fix that!āInsatiably curious about everything. Has an invention for every occasion. Known to rebuild time engines mid-flight. Obsessed with finding a way to 'come out of the casing'. Backpack possibly bigger on the inside.

My starting premise with 'The Resistance' is that the human factor was distilled from the best aspects of humanity, but that it would also have led to the development of a good deal of eccentricity. These guys idolise the best parts of the human race, but they're still built like Daleks and so don't always get the culture . . . the result is a bit of a patchwork of quirks.
The Daleks belong to the Terry Nation Estate, Galileo and the Resistance belong to me.

For some reason, this humanised Dalek I feel I can relate rather closely with after reading his personality profile. Quite like the really quirky self-modifications you've given him to show his amazingly curious and creative persona.

I think Galileo is the model I'm most proud of: it really does feel like someone who's actually thought about making their casing less Dalek, not just slapped armour on it out of necessity. I decided pretty early on that he was a non-combatant, at least not a warrior in the traditional sense. Someone more likely to unscrew something vital at the last minute than wade in with a big gun.

Sad that the episode that introduced THE HUMAN FACTOR Daleks is lost.Ā Ā Also, it's sad that in the 50 years of the series they never made a reappearance.

Yeah, I think Evil of the Daleks would be one of the stories I'd like to see found the most, probably second only to Power of the Daleks.

They recently recreated the final episode of THE TENTH PLANET using animation.Ā It was excellently done.

I'd really like to get hold of that, actually - I've heard it was pretty good.
It would be nice if they could do that for a lot more of the missing episodes, although I know the reason they haven't is the expense involved.
