It looks as if the hermit's cell has been built into the cliffs of Norfolk somewhere near Hunstanton but this landscape has been transmogrified into some kind of frozen waste land in which he would be alone even if he left his cell.

Thank you for the comment.

Β Yes I always had a thing about telephone lines, what the look like and what they do/symbolize.

you know why I love abstract art? cause it works like music - it shows to you, who you are inside, cause you can see only what you want to see. And painting is just a little push into yourself.

but window distracts me. it's like an exit door. like an exit at another side of the ocean, and you can't reach it, cause it's too far...
At a brighter side.

Yes, it's about my journey at this point in my life and it's still happening like that...

I like your definition of why you like abstract work, I completely agree with you. That is why I paint, to find myself or find what different parts of life and experience are about. When people like you see it all in my work it is made relevant and therefore worthwhile, thank you!

You're a spaceman. You wanna reach something not from here, something from another place. Something too far to reach.

I can't be sure, that I understand you, but I think, I can feel you.
It's so interesting to me.

is there a gallery somewhere in your country where your work is showing to be sold?

'Hermit' and 'Wake Alone' are both out with my agent and are for sale, although I don't know exactly where they are. I'm not up to date, I'm recovering from surgery. If you wanted to see 'Hermit'(assuming it is this piece you are interested in) I am sure I could organise a meeting for you with my agent (who is a wonderful woman) for a private viewing, if you are in the UK that is.
Thanks for your interest.

i know you probably get this all the time, but your textures are amazing.

although it's not just the textures, but more the way you intertwine a few key colors and textures to create your pieces.

its a pleasure to look at them.

this is great. i like the thin sharp marks sitting next to the fat ones like that and the colours are good with me. i don't like imagining how it must have felt dragging your brush (if you used brushes?) over that lumpy bumpy surface - you obviously enjoyed the sensation though. i don't often comment on painting. (can you tell?!? ) but yeah - nice one.

I adore the textures here! Very interesting, the way my eye plays back and forth across the horizontals.

It makes me want to go get some limestone dust and experiment.

Thank YOU.

Where do you get it? Art store? Home Depot? A quarry?

You can buy ' portland ' and ' bath ' stone dust in 25 kilo bags from the stone mason...that's the limestone!
but I'm lucky because I'm friends with a sculptor at my last studio and she saves the alabaster and marble dust for me to use in trade for the odd painting lesson.
I then take that and sieve it out into grades...

I see an ark, a boat, even a whale (with square eye) but no hermit. The hermit must live with in isolated from the world around him.

Is it Jonah in the belly of the whale?

Another really interesting response, thank you Gloria. All the things you mentioned are there, because you saw them...I love it when someones reaction to a painting makes me look at my own work with a different eye. Thanks again...

I love that little window, I'm not sure about the color scheme - somehow I see the hermit with colder colors then redish brown (maybe bottle green or deep blue...?!). Anyway - its just me.
This is great as all your art!
