This is an image I drew in reference to Warriors : Sunset by Erin Hunter, where Brambleclaw enters a world through he dreams to meet his father, Tigerstar, and half brother, Hawkfrost.

The reason I illustrated this scene was because when I read it, I really loved the atmosphere it gave, and left a stunning picture in my mind. It was also a great excuse to draw my first Warriors fanart directly from the book!

Here is the excerpt form the book I tried to draw. It's from Chapter 6.

The sky above Brambleclaw's head was dark, but the sickly glow of fungus guided his paws along the path. Shadowy ferns brushed his fur with damp, sickly fronds. Every hair on his pelt prickled as he bounded towards the meeting place. The pain from the wounded shoulder had vanished, and he felt stronger and more powerful with every heartbeat.

Soon the path grew wider and opened up into a clearing. Though no moon shown, a pale wash of light revealed Brambleclaw's half brother Hawkfrost crouched beside a rock, where a massive tabby tom was sitting.

As Brambleclaw emerged from the trees Hawkfrost sprang to his paws and raced toward him. "Brambleclaw!" he exclaimed. "Where have you been?"
