Description
I had a final yesterday, I have one tomorrow....
So what do I do? Draw, of course!

I've actually been concentrating on another picture, but I needed to know how this baby looked to do the background for the other one, so I switched mid-drawing. (Also I found a reference that had the basic shape I wanted for the body of the craft (I've tried to draw this ship more than once, and finally, finally I succeeded.)) Needless to say, I'm rather pleased (though I did cheat, there's supposed to be two of each sail at the back... I just didn't want to draw them since they're kind of angled away....)

Without Further Ado:

The Teshvien (Sea Serpent)
Pronounced ~ tesh-vee-in (I wish DA had an IPA font...)

40-Gun Ship of the Line (4 Fore, 6 Aft, 30 Side)
Ci'adrin (Pronounced ~ Kee-aah-dreen) Navy
Captain: Arnon Reid

The Teshvien is a strange ship, the first of its kind. It is made of a light, durable, rust proof metal, and all of its technology is several steps above even that of its country of origin. Since its maker (consequently Arnon Reid's grandfather and one of the greatest shipwrights their world has ever known) took its secrets to his grave, its design has never been replicated (though attempts were/will be made over the next 60 years (hehe, what I'm not telling you))

It's cannons apparently were designed to have a 190 degree range, though they are not currently used in that capacity.... Odd, right?
