Description
Here is the final colors I did on the collab piece for the JLA battle at LedHeavy. The pencil credits are:Green Lantern-
Batman-
WonderWoman-
Martian Manhunter- Me
Definetly had fun with this... it was really cool to take 4 different drawing styles, and try to unify them with the color pallette and technique... Got to have fun with some lightsources and highlights too, which I don't always do.

It sure is! But seriously mikey this is good colorin! How did you get the glow effect on lantern's energy balllz, the reflective light is nice too and the highlights are pretty damn sexy i must say!

for the glow effect I magic wanded the energy ball areas I wanted affected, and then I put in the render lighting effects filter. Changed the color to green, then voila. Then any highlights on him I did by hand. Glad you think it worked out buddy!

its weird also probally to put these chaceters all together, theres not really interating.
i could critic everyones work, but ur manhunter is the main spotlight when it comes to skills.

yeah, just takin what people individually do, and throwin it together to make a final piece is always a gamble design wise... but I think it works here.
I think everyone's pencils were strong though... each came at it their own way. Since Justin and I both studied Animation, they have that feel... Kryss and Mrcynic though I believe are both self taught to some degree, so their's have their own sense of finding their own approach to problems.
Anyways, I think they all have their strengths, and while I appreciate the compliment on MM, I know he has just as many problems and any other... but thanks!

I spent about 3 hours colorin MM, 2 on WW, 2 on GL, and 1.5 on Bats... so about 8-9 hours I guess... it was in chuncks, since I colored when I got the pics... so it wasn't too bad.

Bravo mikey bravo!! The colors are awesome. It actually doenst bother me that much that manhinter is facing left. You def have you own signature style when it comes to colors. you colors look greta on all of our styles!! I coudnt have asked for a better team. Kryss and mrcynic did a fantastic job and well mikey, you brought it to the next level, so hats off to you. (and once again our team is the first to post our finished piece)

dude, DC comics sux. Marvel came first and DC just totally ripped them off. but i'm a hypocrite because i own like 4 superman shirts. but i do actually like Marvel better. x-men rox my skull right off my shoulders. but nice pic. i think i like it.

I think marvel has the best characters, save for Bats... but DC seems to have the better stories these days in my book. Plus, I LOVE Vertigo... so that puts DC waaaaay up in my opinion.

Great work Mikey. I love it. This is the best team I've been a part of and Vet team 2 was pretty killer. The coloring is rock solid. You pushed yourself with the highlights.

yeah, the last collab I did I was waaaay pleased with, and I think this one turned out just as well if not better... I think we should have this thing locked up... not to jinx it.

dude i love it. that did come out killer. im suprised you didnt turn your MM around tho, i think that would have put it at 100% as opposed to, you know, 98.9%... hahaha... i love it no matter what tho. lots of fun, definately have to try to do this again sooner rather than later. everyone did great! nice job tying it all together bro!

yeah... MM stayed that way for 2 reasons... since I colored him first, and then got mrcynics both lookin left and stationed in the left side of the pic, and then got Booth's lookin right... I figured two left two rights... I wanted to try and keep the focus towards the center so that the pic wouldn't lead the eye off the page... allthough I think with WW's gaze lookin back at us, that wouldn't have happened...
I also tried one compostition where I changed the sizes, with your Bats big and in the foreground, and then WW a little bigger, and then GL and MM a little smaller... try and whip in some depth... but ah well!
Either way, I'm glad all of you like it!
