Description
As mentioned previously, I've been inspired to work on my drawing by the abundance of talent being thrown around by the members of DA; not least of whom is [link]tracyjb
If you haven't seen lackadaisycats go directly there now. It is the best written and illustrated comic I have ever seen and anyone with a face will probably agree with me.
My deviation is practice/fanart based on Tracy's how to draw piece that can be found here [link]
I should stress at this point that the bit on the right side (lower layer) is NOT MY WORK BUT THE WORK OF TRACY J BUTLER and is present purely to demonstrate where my work (top layer, left side) takes it inspiration.
I used a 2b pacer on bank layout paper to draw the two spheres, armature arm and box then scanned into Photoshop and used the hue and saturation tool to match Tracy's sepia style. I then gave it a shadow and brought in the original from deviantart and place it underneath in such a way that I hope is obvious enough for definition between my work and hers.
I did not get pre-approval to use Tracy's work in this deviation and as such I will remove it immediately if requested to do so. Once again, images to the right (underneath) are the work of [link] and images to the right are my own, inspired by her's. I would not have included her work if it were in any context other than a tutorial.

Heh. Yeah, it's a good comic, with great art.
Oh, y'know you can make *tracyjb appear, y'know. All you do is :dev*tracyjb: (remove the asterisk). It works with any user name, just put dev before it, and put the whole thing in colons.

Yeah, thanks. I just found the faq for that the other day (#81, I think).
