You know, Neo being an Expy of Nui is surprisingly likely. Monty liked tough girls a lot and Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann was his favorite anime. And Kill La Kill in famous for both having strong, independent females that can kick as much ass as Team Dai-Gurren, and was worked on by the same people.
