Description
Toothless from How To Train Your Dragon. I love that movie, and decided to make a Toothless polymer clay figure - so i thought, why not make a tutorial too?Apologies for my appalling handwriting, i hope you can read it. I just find it easier to handwrite tutorials, than to use text.
If you have any questions, post them in the comments, and if use this tutorial let me know so i can put a link in the description. ^^

Uploaded a picture of it there ! One of my cats caught it before he got baked, so he has a few battle wounds, but I think he turned out alright for a first go. Thanks again

how long do you bake it for and degrees?

The clay that i use is Fimo and you cook this at 110 degrees celsius (230 fahrenheit) for between 20 and 30 minutes. If you are using other clay there are usually instructions about baking on the back of the packet.

Sure.
The teardrop shape is difficult, i find it easier if the clay isn't too soft.

This rocks. If I make a Toothless using this tutorial, would you mind if I sold it? Just thought I'd check first, some people don't like that when you use their tutorials/patterns

That's fine, so long as you credit me for the tutorial. Good luck.

LightningMcTurner In reply to sponge56 [2011-08-02 09:59:17 +0000 UTC]
It depends on the clay you use. If you use Fimo, or Sculpey then yes you have to bake him. ^^
